Unusual beach in that there is a half-mile or so boardwalk to reach from the parking/Hilton shuttle drop off (and Waldorf Astoria resort). Fortunately free shuttles to reach. Nice facilities there to include food, restrooms and rentals and yet only need to walk 300 yards and you can get away from the crowds.

I just went to Clam Pass with my wife and her family and we had a really good time! You start off with a nice ride on the boardwalk, and then you arrive to this nice beach with a small restaurant that is a bit pricy but has really good food. We discovered this great new drink called "orange crush" there and had a nice lunch. The beach is really nice and if you walk all the way down you can see where the different waters meet.

Sand like powder not like sand your used to. Few whole shells mostly broken ones. Birds fun to watch running up and down beach. Sunset was cool watching it fall into the water. Not used to seeing that. Meter parking $1.50 a hour kinda steep but what u going to do the ocean is awesome.

The weather forecast was not brilliant so we decided to forsake the hotel pool and take a look at Clam Pass. Apart from the ride on the golf cart along the boardwalk we could not see the attraction of this beach. The beach chairs were "past their sell by date" and the rental of $7 was not worth it. We walked along the beach and it was pretty well the same as the other beachs we had visited in Naples.
The facilities at the Pier are significantly better and there more to see. The beach at the pier is just as good as Clam Pass and you save $8 on parking which is more than enough to buy 2 ice creams at the Pier Shop

We booked a weekend vacation at the Naples Grand Resort, not knowing about this little mangrove-forrest beach experience. Normally, beach hotels are on the beach... But this one is very close, and you can go on a very refreshing walk down a wooden bridge path through the forrests and even over the lake! What was really great is the free golf cart transportation for when a mile walk through the forrest wasnt so exhilerating for you. The mile long path is hometo around 5 or 6 of these golf carts all running from around 9 to 815pm. The beach features a bar & grill along with cabana/umbrella rentals, including free towels and beach chairs. Sometimes it can get a little crowded, (we went fourth of july weekend) but other then that, its a great beach!
