As a seasonal nurse it's nice that they have a program for the nurses to use the library! I was told when I found that out that it was a way to say thank you for helping out during season. They are always so friendly and helpful! There is nothing like a good book on the beach!! :)

The COLLIER COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY system has 10 branches throughout Collier County. The three largest are the Headquarters Regional Library, 2385 Orange Blossom Drive in the North Naples area; the Naples Regional Library, 650 Central Avenue in downtown Naples; and the South Regional Library, 8065 Lely Cultural Parkway in the East Naples area.

This library system is outstanding in terms of its numerous branches, the breadth of its collections, and its user friendliness -- for residents and visitors.

However, what really makes it stand apart from so many other public library systems are the numerous special programs offered throughout the year for adults and children. The COLLIER COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY system publishes booklets listing an incredible array of book discussions, classes, films, lectures, plays, musical performances (both live and recorded), etc. -- all FREE. I have heard many visitors express their astonishment at the quality of these progarms and regret that their own public library systems back home have nothing comparable.

Many of these programs are sponsored by the "Friends of the Library", who also purchase books and other material for the COLLIER COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY system. For a nominal sum ($25/individual or $35/family), you can become a "Friend of the Library", which entitles you to sign up for programs 1 week earlier than they become available to the general public, as well as other benefits.

Very highly recommended!.

Comfortable reading areas, large computer area, voluminous film library. A bright, quiet environment to catch up on magazines.
