Cove Inn on Naples Bay

We visited here 14 years ago. We enjoyed our stay here so much that as we were touring Florida again we thought we would re-visit. From the outside it looks like a '60s motel - not particularly enticing. Once you enter your room and look out of the window at the wonderful view of the marina you realise what a bargain you have got.

Slightly disappointed that on check in we asked if both restaurants were open to which the chap on reception confirmed - to find later that the one we had enjoyed previously was closed for refurbishment - which had been one of the reasons we wanted to come back.

However, our room 224? was tastefully furnished and extremely comfortable.

We would go back (as long as 'The Dock' was open).

We have been to the Cove the last 3 holidays we have had in Naples and we just love
It there. The Staff on reception are brilliant and are extremely professional Frederick is a real character, and should be on the stage !!!!.
All the rooms are individually owned and we normally always ask for a bayside apart.
Their is a little breakfast/lunch cafe off the reception area, which we have had breakfast and
Lunch their and it is delicious.

The pool is great with a tiki bar which is lovely and very refreshing, and there is also 2
Restaurants on the site which we have also visited and cannot recommend them highly
Enough, a very relaxing holiday .

Room Tip: Ask for a bayside

The plus :
* Nice building with balcony in each room - all rooms with view on the marina and pool - entrance doors on the car park
* 3 restaurants and a bar on site, as well as pizza take away in walking distance
* Very nice swimming pool, directly on the marina with the hotel building around. Really privileged environement
* Friendly staff
* Nice room of a good size with a sofa, fridge, coffee maker, toaster, microwave
* Balcony with chair and table
* Naples is a lovely tasteful city

The Minus:
* Far away from the beach by walk - need a car
* Each room belongs to private owner, so the deco can change quite a lot from one room to an other
* No coffee in the morning made by the hotel, and all amenities like coffee maker and toaster need to be plugged next to the bathroom sink. No cutlery of any sort which is not convenient at all - need to bring your own. So more a hotel room than a suite to my view.
* Bathroom with toilet and tub small.
* the air con. are on the balcony, so quite noisy when eating outside specially when you're in the corner of the building.

A nice and comfortable place to stay.

Room Tip: Visit your room first if you want to choose the deco

Stayed for 5 nights in July, originally booked 3 but once we arrived we decided to extend!

Check-in was a breeze, with very helpful info (I was looking for the nearest pharmacy after being eaten alive by mossies in Key Largo!).

Room overlooking the pool, slightly old fashioned decor but we kind of expected that, so no problem at all.
We stayed during an unusally hot & humid week (according to the locals) and for us whitey Scots it was a struggle to sit on the balcony for longer than 30mins, thankfully the room air-con was decent!

Coffee Shoppe - used it twice for breakfast, the staff are characters and the place has a real buzz. Excellent corned beef hash!

Used the Tiki bar several times and Liza and the other staff were very nice. They had a 'Christmas in July' party one night we were there??!!

Posted other reviews for the Dock and Boathouse restaurants, which are 2min walk from your room. I would say the food is slightly better in the Dock, but it has no air-con and the two nights we went it was almost unbearable, so the Boathouse which does have air-con is more comfortable.

Water Taxi - really useful for getting around Naples and to other restaurants, and a steal at only 5 dollars a day.

Hope to return one day!!

I was going to Naples for business for a day, but decided to make a one night get away of the trip with my boyfriend. The other reviews on Trip Advisor convinced me to try out the Cove Inn and I am so glad we did. We had a water view hotel room and absolutely loved it. Our room was charmingly decorated, but we both thought the best feature was the balcony. Its so peaceful to sit out and watch the boats on the water. The location of the hotel is perfect too. We walked to both 3rd Street and 5th Avenue to do some exploring. There is a cute Tiki bar on the property and its right next door to the Dock restaurant. We went a block further for dinner though to Bleu Provence. An adorable and absolutely delicious French restaurant. I would definitely stay at the Cove Inn again. Highly recommended.

I was travelling alone and needed to find a nice place to stay in Naples for a night. I had an accomodation voucher and decided to try The Cove Inn ( I never thought I would get in as it has the best location in Naples!) but I was sucessful. The check in staff were very friendly and I was alloted a very lovely room with a view over the marina and the beautiful yachts and boats. I spent the afternoon at the pool and the 'coolest' poolside Tiki Bar! I then used the Naples water Schuttle and for a very low fee I cruised around the bay and chatted to the locals who also use the water Schuttle as a sunset cruise. All in all a very lovely stay, the room was magnificent and the stay was memorable. Also had the best breakfast in Naples in the Cafe at the Cove Inn!

Room Tip: Ask for a marina view.
