We lived many years in Europe and wanted to try this restaurant for the "European Specialities". The restaurant is nice, the service was very good and we enjoyed the appetizers. My wife had an excellent Beefsteak Tartar and I was happy with the Mushroom Ravioli on a morel sauce.
Unfortunately the cook has now idea about a real Wiener Schnitzel or an Emincé de veal zurichois. Instead of being coated with crisp breadcrumbs the Schnitzel was dipped into kind of a soft fried batter or dough similar to a fried chicken. The veal came in big chunks (instead of little slices) in a unknown sauce which had nothing in common with the real recipe. The side orders: Look out for the spaetzles - they are hard to find on the plate and don't order French fries - the few you get are inedible.
Our bill with a modest bottle of wine and without dessert came to approx. $ 160 (Tip included). When we left we were not astonished to see only one other table occupied.
We talked to friends after our visit and they confirmed that this restaurant kitchen doesn't deserve
the title on their website: "a taste of Europe on your plate".
