“Awesome Paddleboarding Trip”

Endless Summer Adventures
Reviewed August 18, 2012

We went Paddleboarding for the first time recently, and it was a great experience. We met our instructor, BreAnne Barrett, on the Isle of Capri which is on the way to Marco Island. After she gave us instructions on how to paddleboard, we headed out to a sheltered mangrove bay. The water was perfectly flat and soon we were really moving along and enjoying the view. We then headed into an inlet where we did a Paddle Fitness Class with BreAnne. After doing some stretching and exercises, we headed back and ended up seeing seven manatees. It was awesome!
Endless Summer Adventures has Eco Tours, Paddle Fitness Classes, or you can just rent their paddleboards to head out on your own. You can also find them on Marco Island if you want to paddleboard in the Gulf of Mexico.
This is a great way to try paddleboarding, and it's a lot of fun too. You should definitely contact Endless Summer Adventures!

This guided paddle board trip started off in Isles of Capri, where we were loaded onto a pontoon boat and headed out to a secluded mangrove bay. The bay had shallow clear water and was blocked from all wind and waves, made it easy for us beginners to learn the basics. After feeling comfortable on the boards we headed off through the mangrove trails of rookery bay on a guided tour. The tour lasted an hour and took us through areas only a paddle board or kayak would be able to reach. We ended the tour back in the bay where we paddled around a little more then loaded back onto the boat. I would recommend bringing a water proof camera or water proof case . We saw all kinds of native birds and even a dolphin in very shallow water. The guide did take pictures and was able to upload them on the web site after the trip. The whole trip lasted about 3 hours.
