“Hidden Gem off the beaten path”
Reviewed January 31, 2014

Have been going to Pelican Bend for 30 years. It's a cute "Old Florida" restaurant located on the water. They have inside and outside dining. Outside dinning in their "Tiki Bar" is our preference, as you sit near the water and really enjoy nature.

First time I ever had a "Wedge of Lettuce Salad" was here 30 years ago. Make them occasionally at home to feel like I am in Naples!

Good food, great location, nice friendly staff! Enjoy sunsets at the outside bar.

“It's all about the fish”
Reviewed January 29, 2014

Be prepared to wait for a table but it is worth the wait! The generous portion of sauteed fish melts in your mouth. Be sure to try the hush puppies - like nothing I have ever tasted. Don't be fooled by the down-home, dive-like atmosphere. Great wait staff!

“Dog friendly”

Liked their "old Florida" feel. I like Soft shell crab and I can't always find it but they had it here and it was delish.

“Not much to look at, but great food!!”
Reviewed January 24, 2014

Went to Pelican Bend on the Isle of Capri with guests visiting us on Marco Island on a Thursday evening for dinner. Arrived at 6:45 PM and only had to wait 15 minutes for a table (they do NOT take reservations). Seating and décor is a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. Our server was very nice and suggested specials and meals as we were first time diners there. Our drinks were refilled often and good attention paid to keeping our table cleared of dishes as we completed our meal. We ordered coconut shrimp as an appetizer along with salad wedges and house made dressing and home made coleslaw. All were delicious although the shrimp appetizer could have been a bit more generous (only 6 shrimp for 4 people).

Two of our party ordered the white fish special, one had coconut shrimp and I had the 3 combo fried platter (shrimp, scallops and oysters). Baked sweet potatoes, baked potatoes and potatoe wedges accompanied our main dish. Everything was absolutely delicious with generous portions.

Dessert consisted of coffee, key lime pie and peanut butter pie (all pies home made). They are indeed home made and were very good. Our bill was approx. $85 (without tip). A very pleasant dining experience with wonderful food. We plan to return at least once during our stay on Marco Island and would recommend this establishment for anyone desiring sea food.

“Great Views for a Lazy Lunch!”
Reviewed January 22, 2014

Took friends with us to try out this first time visit. The restaurant was packed with an "after church" crowd, however we were greated and seated promptly. They have a wide variety to choose from and daily specials. Our server was courteous and knowledgable. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, however the food was only average.
