A moderately priced French restaurant isn't that easy to track down in Southwest Florida. One that provides acceptable cooking is even rarer. So this friendly little place is to be treasured. It may not deserve a multiple-star Michelin entry, but it does offer solid value for the money, and I can't understand why some consider it overpriced.
I have only been there for dinner where an excellent meal — appetizer, main course and complimentary glass of wine — is available for $24.95. Order before 6 p.m. and it drops to $19.95 — and I have also discovered that the lower price may be available in low season after 6 p.m. as well.
I can warmly recommend the French onion soup, pate and goat cheese salad among the appetizers and the boeuf bourgignon and beautifully cooked salmon among the main courses. Not the sort of place you'd expect to encounter in a strip mall, but there you are.
