“Great New Years bash”
Reviewed January 2, 2012

We visited Naples during the week between Xmas and New Years and we had a blast. We had dinner at Vergina and Waited for the New year across the street where they had set up tvs, drinks and dancing...quite the street party...good times!

There are several nice outside dining options on 5th avenue. It is a nice way to spend an evening.

“Tourist Trap for the Unsuspecting”
Reviewed December 31, 2011

Years ago Fifth Avenue S acquired a reputation as a must go venue to those visiting Naples. But with greedy landlords, hard economic times and the decrease in tourists, the tone and quality of this street has suffered over thge past few years.
Many of the unique shops have relocated, others have closed up entirely while the street has lost its neat sense.
True, there are a number of tourist related restaurants sporting hefty price tags and varying quality of cuisines, but there are better places to walk and wander (try the Waterside Shops or the Mercato) and of course best of all are the beaches and the few restaurants where you can sit with your toes in the sand.
