Owner description: Much more than a walk-thru zoo, this historic tropical garden and nationally accredited zoo features a full day of wildlife experiences to delight guests with the natural world to inspire the conservation of our planet's remaining wild areas and their wondrous inhabitants. Discover the wonders of South America featuring a Giant anteater, Cotton-top tamarins, and more. Get wildly close to the Malayan tigers at viewing windows. Hand-feed the herd of giraffe plus enjoy your favorite animals like lions, monkeys, and bears. Naples Zoo is one of only four zoos in the nation to feature the fierce YouTube-favorites: African honey badgers. Plus discover rarely seen species including Malagasy fosas and 2 of less than 20 striped hyenas in the nation. Ask those questions you've always wondered about at the Meet the Keeper Series. Be fascinated by rare creatures during premier wildlife shows. Cruise through islands of monkeys, lemurs, and apes. Watch our professional staff hand-feed American alligators while dispelling popular myths. Snap great photos and learn the facts behind the fiction at a venomous snake talk. It's wild fun from apes to zebras. Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens is a nonprofit organization cooperating in conservation programs both in and outside the wild for endangered species. The zoo is nationally accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, the organization that sets the highest standards for wildlife care, education, and conservation. The garden also holds accreditation by The Morton Register of Arboreta and is a member of the American Public Gardens Association.

“Animals without the odor”
Reviewed January 5, 2012

The cleanest and most interesting small zoo I have ever visited. The shows are entertaining and educational, and the boat trip in the lagoon is a great way to see monkeys, apes and lemurs. Alligator feeding time is another kick.

“Nice Zoo”
Reviewed January 4, 2012

This is a small, family orientated zoo. It's easily walked in less than 2-3 hours. Getting into the zoo took time. You're better off ordering tickets online.

“We love the Naples Zoo!”
Reviewed January 3, 2012

The Naples zoo is unique in that is a wild tropical garden and a zoo. Not a huge zoo, a manageable zoo. We always enjoy the shows and never miss the boat tour of the primate islands. The staff is amazing. Our daughter was doing a report on the endangered ocelot last year. After we contacted the zoo by email, the ocelot keeper suggested additional reading for her. And then the zoo and the keeper were very helpful and welcoming during a visit to further her research. A note on some of the negative reviews: the zoo is not cheap but is about half what you would pay at jungle island in Miami and Naples zoo is a much better experience. Contrary to negative reviews, there are many shady areas and cooling misters for hot days (though in the height of summer the humidity is brutal). And there are in fact giraffes (you can feed them) and bears. Sure there are larger zoos and cheaper zoos, and all zoos have their own personalities. Naples zoo is a wonderful place and a great way to spend some time with family and friends.

“A Great Zoo experience for the entire family”
Reviewed January 2, 2012

This Zoo is great. The staff are pleasant and clearly interested in the important job of working with the animals and introducing them to us humans. The Badgers are incredible and the Snakes will leave your skin crawling. The staff presentations were very well done. The Lion "King" added a nice touch to the zoo atmosphere with his constant roaring later in the afternoon - what a majestic beast ! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Naples. We only had a few hours and wished we hand more time.
