We love the Botanical gardens in Naples. So much so that we purchased an anual pass. When our granddaughter comes to visit, we take her there so she can play in the kids garden and water feature in the childrens area. It is a great place to go just to unwind and be one with nature. The surroundings, flora and fauna are very well amintaind and educational too.

We went because we had a Groupon for $6 admission. So glad we did. They obviously take a lot of pride in their gardens and it shows. Beautiful place.

This growing garden ( pun intended....new and growing) is a delightful surprise. Worth your time and kids may love it too.

I drove by here last year, and decided not to go in. I mistakenly assumed the gardens were similar in size to the parking lot, and didn't think $13 was worth it for a small garden. Wow, was I ever completely mistaken! My friend and I pretty much rushed through this garden today (because it was about to close, and because it was SO hot!) and it still took almost two hours!

The $13 to get in is a STEAL, for the size of the place and the beauty. There are various themed gardens laid out in a loop, and don't let the word gardens make you think that they are small...some of these are very large areas, with many different mini gardens inside. Aside from that, there are a few loop trails that go around the property, around lakes and into more natural tree settings (there are various preserves) that we did not get a chance to do.

I think my favorite was the Children's garden. It had a butterfly house, a cool section on incorporating household things like tennis balls and toilets into your garden, a little waterfall you can walk under, and a water play area. This was, unfortunately, the only area we got to do at length. The other parts are just as beautiful, especially the cactus/succulent garden and the Asian garden area. (and also the nice hammocks tucked away between the Brazilian and Caribbean gardens!

One tip: be prepared for the heat. There are a few spots for shade thoughtfully incorporated into the design of the place, along with many coolers with ice water (and even water bowls on the floor, for dogs!), but the majority of the garden is exposed and therefore you will get very hot. Make sure you pace yourself, drink a lot of water, and wear super light clothing.
