We spent a day here and it is so relaxing and beautiful, the gardens are so well maintained and planned. Lovely spots to sit and relax, super friendly staff and volunteers.

“Good place to while away an afternoon”
Reviewed March 29, 2012

My wife and I went to the Botanical Gardens last Sunday PM. Very enjoyable day. The place is certainly not a rinky-dink deal and the plants are wel identified and of various types. Good spot for the kids too, if you have any with you. The Butterfly House and the play area are designed for kids and those children there seemed to be loving it. The sandwiches from the refreshment stand were really quite tasty. The only thing they need is a few more places to escape the sun. There are some houses to get away from the heat, but near the food area, they really need some tables w. umbrellas.

“Disappointing”
Reviewed March 29, 2012

I'm from St. Louis with a preimiere and very well established garden. This garden is new and not very varied. Maybe it will be better when it grows up. I think I'll wait 5 years to return.

“A work in progress”
Reviewed March 28, 2012

They have made great strides from where they started, but not worth the current admission fee.
