We visited this beach in October 2011 and really enjoyed it. There were palapas and plenty of space on the beach to set up for he day. Having the restrooms so accessible was a plus as well as the refreshment area

Lowdermilk Beach is a county-owned facility just off Route 41 north of the city. The beach is clean and not usually crowded, even when the parking lot is full. Nearby condos and time-shares bring a lot of "walkers".

Although not particularly scenic, this is a good place to bring the family to enjoy the sea and sand that make Naples' beaches one of the top tourist attractions in the country.

No, there's no spilled oil here - unless your bottle of sun tan oil tips over.

Since we visit Naples we stayed mostly at Vanderbilt beach. They have enough space n the parking garage close to the beach and with our beach sticker we enjoyed free parking. Friends told us about all the other beach places and finally we decided to travel a bit further to Lowdermilk beach.
All description from our friends was true. This beach place is really lovely. But, we found immediately that many other people like this place as well when we came first time. The street to the beach was already closed by traffic jam and there was no car parking possible. Even we arrived early at 10 am we found that very first day no space for our car and we had to travel back to Vanderbilt beach. The next day, we started earlier and we found a parking lot. It was worth to be there early, the place is really very nice. If you visit Naples, get up early and see Lowdermilk beach.

Another clean beach with silver sand, stretching for miles. It has the added attraction of two friendly, overweight ducks who regularly waddle on to the beach. This beach appears to be popular with Naples residents judging by the number of sunset parties that took place during our visits.
