“Nice!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2009

Its a very nice pier, you can see lots of fishes and dolphins. But honestly it'll take you about 10-15 minutes to go through it and really have nothing else to do, but i insist that if you are in Naples you should meet the pier

“Be prepared”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 24, 2008

The Naples pier gives a great view of the gulf! It is also the one place in Naples where you can fish without a license. However, if you are visiting, you'll have to be prepared and come with your own poles and bait. There are no rental places around. Also if you're there on the right day, there are SHARKS in the water!!! Don't pull them up if you get one on your fishing line though -- big no no and fine. There is a very small concession stand there too, but their hours are seasonal and are often closed. There is a public restroom right at the start of the pier as well. Unfortunately it is a two block walk before you can get to any restaurants, as there are only houses on the water.

“Wildlife everywhere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2008

Maybe we were just lucky, but we went to Naples 5th-8th March and we really enjoyed the walk along the pier - there are pelicans everywhere and on our first trip we saw dolphins as close as 12 feet away and an Osprey on top of one of the covered shelters. The next day a fisherman caught a 3' 6" sand shark which he struggled to reel in and then with someone else's help he managed to get the hook out of the most menacing looking jaws and throw it back in. Fabulous entertainment!

“It's a pier - big whoop”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2008

It's a wooden pier. A long one that goes out pretty far, but whatever. Just a pier - not some huge must see attraction.

“Beautiful Sunsets”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2007

The Naples Pier never fails to have beautiful sunsets. It is awesome. You can see dolphins playing in the water and even fish right off the pier.
The gulf water is warm, great for a swim or just finding shells. It's my favorite beach in FL.
