“A True Gem”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

Had dinner there twice on a recent vacation. Would only make reservation for outdoor dinning as the setting is beautiful. In fact, they refer to a portion of the outside area as Patio and the remainder as Beach. Waited for a beach table both nights. Service excellent. Only had the seafood entrees and they were excellent, especially the local seafood medley. Prices in line with other similar Naples restaurants but the setting is unequaled. Apparently everyone makes reservation so as to be seated for the spectacular sunset. Found this too early for our needs which likely made it easier for us to obtain the waterfront table.

“Great meal - bring bug spray!”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

I think the Turtle Club just reopened after some renovations with a new menu. We were seated outside on the terrace and the restaurant is lovely. Our meal was fantastic - particularly the Seabass. We had an enjoyable evening with a beautiful sunset but if you go during the "rainy season" be sure to bring bug spray or wipes. We got destroyed by mosquitos and sand fleas.

“Greatly dissapointed”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

I did my homework prior to selecting a restaurant for our weekend trip to Naples. The Turtle Club was rated 41/2 stars. The website looked attractive with its beachfront location. So I thought lets try it out. First impressions was that the location was remarkable. A beautiful beach front location and just in time to watch the sunset over the water. As we entered we were greeted by a lovely young lady that asked if we had reservations. Unfortunately we did not. So all the outside dining tables were booked. My fault for not reserving. We were seated indoors. The ambience was nice, a little loud with the college football game on at the bar. So don't expect romantic inside. As we received the menu's we noticed that the minimium dinner was ($26). This was what I expected for dining on the beach. I ordered the glazed pork rib with potatoes and asparagus spears. My wife and friend all had the special; cold water lobster with rice and asparagus spears, ($32). It took a while for our meal to arrive, (almost 30 minutes). As the food arrived it's presentation was nothing to get excited over. I mean it was nothing more than a six inch slice of lobster, white rice and five very small asparagus spears on a white plate. Nothing more. My wife and friends felt that the lobster was over cooked as it was tough and hard to chew. Think about it, your spending $32 for a very small piece of lobster, a scoup of white rice and 5 spears of asparagus, Really! My pork chop came out looking good but was hard to cut and tough. The potato medley was tasty but cold and not cooked through. So I ended up only eating the pork and leaving the rest. We were all very dissapointed with the food and decided not to risk having dessert there. Honestly I could have done better by getting "Red Lobster" takeout and putting a blanket down on the beach for us all to enjoy. At least we would have felt we were getting what we paid for. You can easily find finer restaurants and spend less than the $145 we spent here. Very dissappointing, scratch this one off the list.

“Great for lunch, pricey for dinner.”
Reviewed October 13, 2012

We are recent transplants to Naples and really enjoy the Turtle Club. The decor is a tad dated but is a great, reasonably priced spot for lunch and the views are amazing. The black grouper sandwich is amazing and a nice big portion: $19. We have been there for dinner a few times and share the general consensus that the entrees are really expensive, small portions but really good quality. $35 for a 4-6 oz fish portion at dinner is a little steep, but if you want to eat on the beach, there are few other options.

Staff tends to get a bit frazzled in-season, but respond quickly to your needs and are generally a happy lot.

“So disappointed”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

We have been going to Turtle Club for 5-6 years each time we visit Naples and have recommended it to everyone we know. It was our "Happy Place", always fabulous service, food and felt special there.
Our visit this time could not have been more disappointing , the food and service were mediocre at best. Rack of lamb at $50 consisted of 2 ribs and the waitress seemed like she just wanted to finish her shift and go home. The oysters turtle feller were outstanding but did not make up for the rest if the mediocre food and service.
We left feeling very sad and disappointed, cancelled our furture reservation for this week, it is now an over priced restaurant with poor service and a great view.
