Capt Al from Minnesota took us on a great tour to see the wonderful local wildlife. He was really interesting a fun to be with and knew so much about the local wildlife. We saw alligators, a bald eagle, vultures, egrets, blue herons, a rare green backed heron [I think?] and the piece de resistance a beautiful female manatee with her week old calf who was just feet from the boat for ages. We learned so much about them...they actually have hands with thumbs not flippers...how amazing is that? So many opportunities for taking pictures, the boat was comfortable and clean and Capt Al was happy to just take the two of us - we were concerned we'd have to wit for a full boat. There is a nice little store at the dock side where you can buy some lunch or a drink too so everything you need is to hand. Highly recommend this tour - apparently February is the best time to visit as there will literally be 100s of wonderful manatees to see but they are here all year round and if you don't see you don't pay and also completely accessible to all!
