“Amazing hospitality”
Reviewed April 5, 2008

We had such a great time- maybe it was because of the innkeepers warm hospitality, the delicious and filling breakfast, and the other friendly guests at the inn. What an amazing combination! We have never felt so 'home' and welcome at a B&B. This Inn is in a great location and in walking distance from all of the shops and dining. They really know how to do it right. We hope to be back again!

We have just returned from a week at the Mount Dora Historic Inn. This B&B is outstanding and we have never experienced such incredible personalized service before. The Inn is delightful! It is in a perfect location and within walking distance to just about anything in town. Each room is impeccably clean and beautfully decorated with turn of the century antiques. The innkeepers - Ana and Jim, were truly exceptional hosts and made our stay quite enjoyable. Ana was quite knowledgable about the area and acted as our personal concierge. She provided us with great information about the local shops, restaurants, antique stores and tours. This took a lot of the stress and guesswork out of figuring what to do on a daily basis. Jim prepared us a fabulous gourmet breakfast each morning along with homecooked specialty breads each evening. He is truly an exceptional chef and I do expect to see him on the food channel one day! Overall I would say this is the best B&B we have ever stayed in and my husband and I are extremely fussy! I would highly recommend this Inn to anyone who is considering staying in Mount Dora - it is the absolute BEST!

To celebrate our anniversary we were looking for a warm, friendly and romantic B&B get-a-way that served fresh creative food in a beautiful town. We found all of this and more at Mt. Dora Historical Inn B&B. The inn keepers, Jim and Ana are delightful, warm and friendly people and the food was also an amazing experiance. Jim is a gourmet Chef with over 20 years experience. Every morning we woke up to the aroma of fresh coffee (a three bean mixture of Jim's!) and enjoyed one of his outstanding breakfasts. From the homemade souffle's to the sweet potato pancakes, it was all so wonderful! We also enjoyed a variety of homemade breads daily at 7pm! The house is so charming with bright beautiful flowers at the sidewalk to welcome you in. Our room was gorgous and decorated with antiques. Local resturants were also terrific and the inn was located within walking distance to Lake Dora where we watched the sun set almost every evening. We had a great time and will visit again!

Our Anniversary on November 17th was wonderful because of our stay at the Mount Dora Historic Inn in Mount Dora,Florida...Anne and Jim made us feel so special...The accomodations are so quaint and don't get me started on the food...I do not have the time to describe to you the magnificent way that they make their breakfast...It is indescribable....His stuffed French toast (3 different cheeses) with bananas is so scrumptious that you have to try it to really appreciate it..........Every morning is an adventure you will never forget......My only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer and enjoy everything he cooks.....Amazing....Look them up on your Computer...They have only been owners for 16 months and they will definitely change the future of B&B lodgings forever with just their cooking.......thanks for a great stay Ann and Jim....

I stayed at this lovely b-n-b with 6 friends. The accomodations where lovely. The rooms offer all the antique charm associated with a b-n-b, yet also provide modernized private baths which is especially important when you are traveling with 6 other women! Jim and Ana, the innkeepers, are relatively new owners (within the last year I believe). They are warm, welcoming and accomodating. Jim is the official chef of the inn, and the gourmet breakfasts he made could put most restauants to shame. The food was so good, I gained 3 pounds in one weekend...I just could not help myself! Along with the lovely breakfasts, there was always a special homemade "treat" waiting for us when we returned to the inn in the evenings. Talk about feeling spoiled! Ana made sure to ask about our interests and provided us a map and suggestions where to eat, shop and enjoy entertainment. She never led us astray...we followed her suggetions and had a great time! Each year this same group of friends meets once a year for a girl's weekend out. We have definitely put this place on the "repeat visit" list. Stop by and meet Ana and Jim...I am sure you will find their hospitality as heartwarming as our group did!

My two night stay with several girlfriends at the Mount Dora Historic Inn was absolutely wonderful. Jim and Anna Tuttle, the Innkeepers, are two of the nicest, most hospitable people you will ever meet. Anna keeps an immaculate Inn, and assists Jim with the "to live for" gourmet breakfasts served each morning. Jim also leaves wonderful culinary "surprises" ...home baked breads...upon your return in the evening. The beds are quite comfortable, and additional room air conditioners keep the temperature nice and cool (a problem in some B & B's). They truly pull out all of the stops to ensure that you have a pleasant and memorable stay. The Inn is located right in the heart of the Mount Dora shopping district, and you can literally park your car and not move it again until you leave. Mount Dora is a wonderful little town that rolls out the welcome mat to all who visit, and no place epitomizes the spirit of hospitality there more than the Mount Dora Historic Inn. I will return!

We were a group of friends that rented the entire house for the weekend. We loved the Inn, the food was outstanding and our hosts were wonderful. The rooms where charming and spotless, with very comfortable beds. The location was great, just a short walk to the shops and restaurants. I would definately stay at the Inn again if I ever find myself back in Mt. Dora
