“"Quality, not quantity, food here"”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

There are certainly bigger Oriental buffets in Lake and Orange counties and there are those people that want table after table of food. To me, the freshness of the food and the quality outweigh the quantity and Wasabi delivers this, at least the day of our visit.

The sushi section was great. There was a large variety to choose from and, quite honestly, was among the best I have had and I love the stuff. The table also contained really good fresh peel and eat shrimp, not the small watered down ones that have sat there for hours. There was a table of cold food from salads to desserts and two tables of hot food. There was more than an ample selection and variety of food including the traditional soups and appetizers along with various chicken, shrimp, and beef dishes. What I liked was that the food was all fresh and flavorful and each selection was full. Service was on par with the food. Our waitress cleared away the used plates within seconds of finishing one and before we could even get up to get another. The owners seem to really care about the food they serve and we will definitely be back.

“Just another buffet”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

We went when they first opened, but weren't too impressed .. When they put out a coupon we decided to try it again .. My mother enjoyed the Pepper chicken, but unless you like sushi there really isn't too much to pick from other than chicken or vegetable dishes .. The gravy for the egg foo young is terrible .. They raised the prices for lunch and dinner, so we don't go at all anymore ..

“Great Buffet!”
Reviewed July 23, 2012

Wasabi, the best buffet around!

Wasabi has hardly changed in four years we have been eating there.
(They now ask that one limit their serving of crab legs.)

The price is so low that we always leave large percentage tips (40% to 53%). It's basically self-serve, but someone is doing the work that we reap the fruits of :-)

As a retired couple, we know the value of a dollar :-) Those who do the work of preparing food, serving, cleaning, etc. deserve a lot more than minimum wage.

Sushi, sashimi, California rolls, oysters, frog legs, kimshi, small whole-belly clams, crab legs, at least six shrimp choices, calamari, beef, fish, fruit (3 melon choices), vegetables, chicken, BBQ pork ribs, four kinds of ice cream, mussels, salad . . . .

By taking small sample of the extensive food choices, anyone can find ample food to their liking.

With the senior discount, dinner for two, including drink, (3 kinds of tea, coffee, or a soft drink) is less than thirty dollars.

Because the restaurant is a self-service buffet, we rate the service highly, as we are highly skilled at serving ourselves :-)

If you are unable to serve yourself well, a buffet should not be a choice for you :-(

“Good Buffet at Reasonable Price”

Plenty of food, all you can eat. Chinese fare, beer and wine. Tasty but hard to find stuff that isn't fried.

“SMALL BUT GOOD BUFFET”
Reviewed April 30, 2012

This is your typical Japanese, Chinese, American buffet. The variety was good and everything was hot. The people were friendly and helpful. One of our favorite things that they always have is frog legs. We got there about 8 PM and they had put out their last batch so we didn't have many to choose from. We will make sure to go earlier next time.
