Overall the park is okay you must not mind having full-time residents that don't clean up after themselves being nearby. When I went inside of the buildings I felt like I was back in the 70s or 80s. The men's bathroom could be cleaner. The pads are very close to each other so you don't have very much privacy. The location of the Kennedy space Center is pretty good overall. There are lots of residence and kids that walk in the roads but don't get out-of-the-way when pulling in.

This is the worst KOA ever. We used KOA for the last few years to go camping, not anymore. This one and the St. Augustine one is the nastiest campground. KOA allows people to live in tents as permanent residence. The full time residence live in old run down travel trailers. The west side of the park is ok, that is where the over nighters and weekenders normally stay.

I'm sure the campground is fine. This review is specific to # 2 Cabin. (And can be rectified very easily should someone at the campground want to). This cabin was dirty...so dirty that I had to throw away the socks that we wore inside the cabin. The floor was filthy! There amenities in the cabin were minimal-no salt/pepper-barely enough plates/glasses-the plates were all mis-matched and broken, the glasses were dirty.
The porch swing was nice, lots of squirrels-laundry facilities were clean, office/store seemed to be pretty empty...The pool looked nice, but it closes at dusk, and if you're out exploring for the day...doesn't leave a lot of time to swim. The cabins would be better suited to be near the 'campers', rather than the people who live there...felt like we were intruding every time we drove by. Wi-fi was good by the office, and on our front porch-but didn't work inside the cabin.

Room Tip: Stay in the cabins closer to the office...

We just spent 4 days here and I have to say we didn't find any of the things in the bad reviews. Our site was a cement slab with beauitful trees and we could see the sunsets through our back window through the trees! Beautiful! The squirrels were so tame they were eating peanuts out of our hands. The only downside I could see was the laundry room because half the dryers were out of order. The staff was friendly and helpful.cable and WiFi worked great.

We joined KOA this summer because we bought a pop up camper and KOA is normally a good value. This particular campground is very different than other KOA's it is 75% permanent resident and 25% travelers. As long as you don't veer to the permanent side you are ok it is NASTY! There is no mowing and very run down camper trailers. The vacation side is cleaner and everyone is nice.

We stayed here 3 years ago for 3 months while we were waiting for a home to be built. Although there were some trashy trailers and people, nothing compares to now. Dirty clothed men smoking cigarettes and drinking beer roam. The grass doesnt appear to have been mowed in weeks and weeds abound. We went to the camp store for charcoal, they had none. The shelves were rather bare. This KOA reminds me of a corrections work release camp rather than a campground that people would want to bring their families to. Bottom line, dont stay here unless its really late and you leave early.

We were forced to return to Florida due to a family tragedy. We needed to stay for a few weeks so this KOA seemed a good choice as they rent trailers on a monthly basis. We were told that the charge would be $600.00 for one month. We had called the KOA two days prior to our arrival and they never mentioned that there would be no linens or dishes. When we checked in we were given a 24 foot class B RV to stay in. The filth was unimaginable, we spent the first night cleaning and going to a store to buy sheets, pillows etc. We were told that we could move to a larger unit later in the week but received little in the way of apology for the condition of the unit they put us in, and when I say filth I mean the toilet looked like a professional eating team used the place to practice. They moved us to a much larger unit later in the week that had actually been cleaned. An improvement but the toilet there would not flush. fast forward 3 days and several visits to the community restroom 200 yards away we got a new toilet. Every thing went OK until I heard dripping from the refrigerator and open the freezer door to find a pool of water and a bright red glow. We were able to store our food in a nearby cabin (or Kabin, as they call them) next morning, a different refrigerator was installed. It was older with rust and a strong odor of tobacco smoke in the freezer compartment but we had a safer feeling since we were unafraid that it would burst into flames. The park could best be described as a "white trash trailer court". The park has a sign that boasts that they were a 2011 President's award recipient. The award begs the question: is this something they bought, or are lying about?
The RV sites are intermingled with the low income city they have built for themselves so I cannot recommend that either.

We left with one week still paid up. It was like paying just to leave, and well worth it.

Room Tip: Go somewhere other than here
