Description: recipient of the Best Restaurant Milton and Outstanding Business of the Year: Mainstreet Florida awards. It is owned and operated by a Navy Lt. Commander. The food is creative with a fantastic appetizer Artichoke Cheesecake and their entrees are great. One of my favorites is the Chef's Choice pizza with things like carmelized onions, roasted red bell pepper, goat's cheese, portobello mushrooms, etc. and delicious cheese on top. They have a simple wine there called Chocolate Box that is really interesting because of it's slight chocolate aroma, but is not expensive.

“Great cafe!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2012

Been meaning to stop here for awhile and finally made it there on a Saturday night with some out of town company. Great food, great location, friendly and attentive staff, good value, neat building. Will definitely eat here again.

Two visits over two days.... The food is amazing and service can't be beat! Try the grouper and crab cakes! We will definitely return!

“Different Impressions”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2012

I've had two great experiences here and raved about them on a previous review. Unfortunately, some of the other reviewers were spot on on a third visit there. Our food was served cold, the service was a bit inattentive and the overall quality of the food was that all was overcooked. I was extremely disappointed in Blackwater's inconsistency.

“Great food but don't be in a hurry”

Unexpected charming little bistro with great pizza. Waitress knowledgeable about her menu and gave tips of how to share meals since portions are very large.

“Great Food At A Good Price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2012

This hidden gem in an historic location is worth the drive to experience delicious food with a friendly staff. The shrimp and grits are the best I have ever tasted, I would put them up against any in the area. Homemade desserts shouldn't be resisted and be sure to try the house drink " civil war". If you're luck the manager Glen will be on duty to entertain you with local stories. All in all, the food and ambiance are outstanding at reasonable prices. This local dining experience should not be missed.
