This restaurant was just written about in the Jax. paper a couple weeks ago. We are hoping that it does not lose its charm and cozy feeling. We went the day the review came out and what would normally be a quiet Saturday lunch hour was surprisingly busy. Their food is just good and the prices are reasonable. We love the smallness of this place. Comes highly recommended by us. Stop by before the craziness of the hospital takes over the area! There is not a "bar scene" for this restaurant but they do serve beer and wine.

When you think of Middleburg the last thing you think of is good sushi. I was truly amazed at how good the sushi was. We have eaten there three time (one eat in and two to-gos) in the past two weeks and highly recommend it.

We are picky about sushi and happened upon here on our way to Home Depot. We normally go to another place but it is a ways away and we were not up to that the other night. At first we were not sure but we looked at the menu and the place was empty except for one other person. However, by the time we left the place was fairly busy. It is a small place but quiet and you can actually have a conversation. Since that visit we ate there again last night and had the same experience as before. Their prices are reasonable, the wine and beer selection is limited but prices are decent. We ordered the yellow tail and tuna and of course a CA roll. We do not like fried food and was disappointed that the only choice for a spring is one that is fried. Wish that they offered the real deal. Other than that it is fresh and they are all nice people.

One of our favorite foods is sushi so we are picky where we get it. We stopped here after getting some project items at Home Depot. We were in our work clothes so we were a little hesitant about sitting down to eat, but the place was comfortable and relaxing. We ate here twice in one week of our project.
We ordered the dynamite roll, the pennsylvania? (salmon, avacado, creamcheese), a spicy tuna, veggie tempura , hibachi vegetables with fried rice, clear broth soup and salad with house ginger. The rolls were 8 pcs and very tender. I have seen some with more filling but the ratio wasn't bad for the price. The tempura was good and crispy but a little greasy and not very much for the price. I think the best deals are the lunch specials but we were'nt sure what to order as noobs. The ginger dressing is excellent and the clear broth soup had a great flavor although it could have had a few more items in it.
The hibachi veggies were good and was a good portion. The fried rice was also a large portion but I have had better at chinese take out. What really impressed us was the server. He was there both of our visits and was attentive and helpful. He was a little hard to understand but could not have been more polite. When we were full to the gills he would come by and say "more sushi"? We noticed he did that at all the tables. I guess he could put away more then us. All and all we have had better sushi, but this is good for the location and the price.
