This restaurant and the view are much better in person than in the photos on the hotel web site. I happen to be an aviation buff, so I spent more time gazing out the window at Miami International Airport below. The wraparound window offers a great view of MIA. It seems like you can touch the planes taking off and landing. You also get a great viedw of the City of Miami and Dade County. The restaurant itself is very intimate and quiet, perfect for a romantic evening. There is a bar, dance floor and some of the most comfortable sofas I've ever felt along the windows. The service was a little slow, but this type of restaurant is not used to the bustling crowds a casual dining place would receive. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. But mainly, the view was what made it special. The hotel staff told me many non-hotel guests people come to El Mirador to enjoy the food and view.

Lets start out with the service.. SERVER called Santos is a rude, unprofessional and very loud person...Margarita whom according to the restaurant manager Marcos Rivas (who btw was nowhere to be found the night I went) was the restaurant supervisor that night a
nd she was rude by asking the cashier to stop charging us in order to charge other customers...Manager Mohamed practically called me a liar as well as Manager Marcos Rivas when I told him that the coupon from restaurant.com said that it did not need to be printed as it stated on the coupon on our iPhone and we had showed his staff (Ivan) but offcourse they said they couldn't verify this what a scammmmmn.....

We ordered Ropa vieja and that's exactly what we got !!!!old clothing style runny meat..it tasted like the chef had put the scrap meat in a bucket of old water and served it with some tomato juice on top....the pork shops or should i say the bones shops all bore and fat around it....horrible.....

We expressed our disappointment from the very beginning with the bad service (delayed and ignored for nearly 20mins) and then there comes our server screaming in the middle of the room between two tables who wants to go first!!!! The told us that we needed to pay for internet service to print the coupon from restaurant.com when it clearly stated we didn't have to.... We didn't eat the food and we week told af 10pm that the managers were all gone for the day to their homes......

I have to say HORRIBLE SERVICE, DISGUSTING BAD QUALITY FOOD, AND DONT EXPECT A GREAT VIEW OR EVEN A TABLE CLOTH ...UR LUCKY IF YOU'LL GET UR BREAD HOT.......

I WILL ONLY RECOMMEND THIS PIECE OF S#$T TO MY WORST ENEMY..... OH YEAH AND WE HAD TO PAY!!!!!!!!

AND EVEN THOUGH WE WERED PROMISED A REFUND THE NIGHT OF BY OTHER MANAGER J BUMPED INTO WHILE LEAVING NAMED ISRAEL.... WE WONT....
Hell even the manager Marcos Rivas admitted to me that he doesn't even eat there that he buys coupons from Ruby Tuesdays instead
......
HOW CAN YOU EXPECT ANYTHING LESS THAN HORRIBLE.....AND LET ME TELL YOU...THATS NOT CUBAN FOOD....THATS NIT EVEN GOOD ENOUGH FOR DOGS!!!!! DISGUSTING!!!! AND THEY STILL HAVE THE AUDACITY TO TELL ME THAT THEY WANT TO OFFER ME A RESTAURANT CREDIT TO COME BACK ...YEAH RIGHT....KEEP IT!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

After travelling all day, it was great to relax with a Mojito and the tasty
Cuban dishes here. We really enjoyed the mahi casserole, lovely waitress and really nice low key atmosphere.
