The Place To Go For Steak. There's a reason why Shula's steaks consistently rank among the best in the country. They start with the most wonderful beef, of course. But what I love most about their steaks is that they know how to cook them. When is the last time someone offered to cook for you "medium plus" - and then checked it table-side with a flashlight?! It's also a lovely and comfortable atmosphere. It reminds me of the nice dining room in the country club my parents belonged to. You should know which fork to use first for sure, but any collared shirt and khakis will suffice. I would call the atmosphere "casual elegance". A trendy catchphrase maybe, but very accurate in this instance. Everything is a la carte. And it's not inexpensive, but it is worth it. The side choices are very traditional, but elevated by their outstanding preparation. My daughters love the crab mac & cheese. The Ahi tuna appetizer is exceptional - simple, basic beautifully presented, and cold enough, which can be hard to find. The crab cakes are another Don't Miss - way more crab than cake. I also like to mop up their delicious creamed spinach with the wonderfully warm and soft rolls that come with every meal. Save room for dessert. The triple crème brûlée is to die for, served in three mini ramekins in three flavors; traditional vanilla, Grand Marnier, and Godiva chocolate - oh yeah. And of course, there is the unparalleled service. Everyone staff member is a seasoned professional. Miss Patricia, the lovely Hostess, will see that you are well seated and well treated. My favorite waiters are Ms. Pat and Mr. Rene, both of whom always maintain their consummate professionalism while making you feel like an old friend after just a few visits. There is a reason why people keep coming back. From the upscale sports photography on the walls and gentle lighting to the skilled bartenders and excellent wine list, Shula's will not disappoint. This place is old school, unpretentious and traditional steakhouse dining. I give it five stars, because six are not available.

“Bigger is Not Always Better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

Sorry, but I have eaten here many, many times. All the guys in our group of friends like this restaurant because they get LARGE portions of salads, steak, etc. I think taste is much more important than size. The steaks are not prime, but for years they have been priced as though they are. They are just big.

“Standards have gone down over the years”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

This place used to be an absolute favorite. However the quality of the food has dropped dramatically. The same beautiful atmosphere and plush seating. Food pretty average. I went during Miami Spice and did notice that no one bothered offering me the special menu. I had to ask for it and the waiter took a significant amount of time to bring it back. Lets just say I will be heading elsewhere next time I want a steak. Will only be returning here for a drink and some nostalgic memories.

“A must go in Miami Lakes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

Shula's is one of those places you must go to if you're ever visiting from out of town. If you love steak, then you'll love Shula's. The food is outstanding and the environment is great.

“Great meal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

My family truly enjoyed our meal. The friendly atmosphere, attentive staff, quiet location, large number of menu selections make this place a "keeper".
The filet mignons were great and best of all they were cooked to perfection, a sometimes difficult thing to find, my son had the chicken and it was a very large serving, juicy and perfectly seasoned. The trio of creme brûlée was a perfect thing to share and a nice finish to the meal.
It can be a bit pricey, but is well worth the cost.
