I work in the travel industry and I have stayed at many many hotels over the year. Good and bad. 2 star and 5 star. This is, by far, is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. And unfortunately we were here for 9 horrible days.
First impression - check in: the front desk was obviously new, because he had no idea how to find our reservation. No apologies for that, just kept saying "can't find you". Someone finally helped him find us, and again no apologies. Okay, we let that slide. Got into the room and it was very damp and cold. The air conditioning didn't work properly and it was set at 62 degrees. Not exactly comfortable. That's fine, we changed the temperature. There was black hair in the corners of the bathroom floor. Obviously not mine, because I'm a blonde and had just arrived. Okay, now we are starting to wonder about this hotel. Get into bed... it's not an actual blanket. It's some sort of weird cover with a sheet on the bottom and a sheet on the top, to make it seem like a duvet. And the blanket was stained. A little gross.
The hotel looks like they have given it a face lift and has new fixtures in the bathroom, and new flooring in the room. But there was black painted pipes showing all over the bathroom, which was a little creepy (see photo). And rust stains on the new looking floor, which gave the impression that they don't clean very well.
Then the next day, we went to make coffee and the mug was disgustingly dirty (see photo). The WRAPPED IN PLASTIC glass (signifying it was clean) was also filthy (see picture).
Then there was housekeeping, who didn't even bother to clean our room twice, who didn't make the bed one of the times when they did clean it, who almost every day left their own garbage in our room (see photo of a McDonalds cup with black hairs and fuzz in it - we didn't even visit a McDonalds). The housekeeping staff kept changing our AC temp to 62, from our 74. We asked the front desk to ask them to stop doing this and we were told that probably wouldn't help, that we should leave a note. We taped a note to the wall and they finally left it alone.
There was mold on the walls, big ants crawling around, dirt all around the door out to the patio that looked like it had never been cleaned.
Our key cards magically stopped working FIVE times in 2 days. We literally visited the front desk 3 times in two hours.
We had coffee in the room every morning, and in the last 3 days, they stopped restocking creamer and sugar. The breakfast in the hotel was horrible in the morning, embarrassingly so. We tried to eat every morning and were disappointed every morning. We knew the hotel wouldn't offer a high end breakfast, but it was just so bland, no choice, over cooked... EVERY DAY.
There was only one wardrobe for the room, and no drawers.
You can see how now, just the small things, that normally wouldn't be a big issue, suddenly are. Too many small things were an issue.
We left a note asking for 3 towels, instead of two. Sometimes we were given two, sometimes 3.
I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. And was so disappointed by my stay, that I felt the need to share it with anyone looking to stay at this hotel. If you have a choice, don't stay here.
