This was my first visit to Miami Beach with my family and this was a great choice for us! The location is great! There was the Lincoln Center walking distance, the Fresh Market and some good restaurants! It is also not too far from Ocean Drive, Museums and The Bayside Market. I liked the continental breakfast and they had plenty of food, but at times, the lines did get pretty long, which is understandable. I also liked that fact that they had laundry facilities because it helped us not to have to pack too heavy and we could just wash our clothes. The staff at the front desk were very nice and even gave us tips on where to go and what activities would be good for us. Our room was very clean when we arrived and they brought us fresh towels and supplies often. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again next time we are in Miami Beach.

Overall we were pleased with our stay choice. Give it 3.5 to be honest. We wanted a hotel with a pool that was not in the hustle and bustle of South Beach / Ocean Drive. With good transport links (free bus service) and near Downtown and supermarkets (Fresh Market is excellent).

The rooms are modern, spacious and fresh. Accommodated 4 people. 2 Queens and a sofa bed. They include a well equipped kitchen. The kitchen was welcome and definitely a good point, but also a bad point... the kitchen sink tap was practically detached and hung over the sink. It creates a bad impression tbh. The hotel management should be all over these fixable ‘standards’.

The staff were very nice and helpful (especially a member of the management team (low carber / vegetarian - I can’t remember her name :-( ). Then conversely, we had a fire alarm late one night and the whole hotel fled to the street and waited for the fire dept. Eventually we were allowed back in with no explanation or feedback from any member of staff during the whole experience.

The pool on the roof is (small but) excellent with great views. Then one day it was closed. No notice given. We were however Ubered to another nearby Marriott (Courtyard - not the nicest) but hardly ideal.

Breakfast was a good point, not the best but adequate. However the actual buffet serving area was not fit for purpose. A very small room next to a larger eating area. Who designed that? Chaos with so many people crowded into a very small space cooking waffles etc.

Then finally the elevator.... no, nothing good about them actually. Send one of your children out early to press the button. You are going to have some wait before they arrive. You could use the stairs but they aren’t air conditioned as we found out when we had to get out of the hotel quickly with that fire alarm issue. Who designed that - No service elevator??

I’d stay here again as it did suit our needs, if the price was right though. I would just allow for the good and bad. Stuff is easily fixable but sorting out the breakfast area and installing an extra elevator is not likely. The area surrounding is a bit of a building site so builders are close by.

Dear Steve G,

Thank you for choosing our hotel on your recent visit to the area and for taking the time to share your feedback. We were disappointed to read we did not live up to our typical standards, and as a result your stay was anything less than exceptional. We truly apologize for the issues with the fire alarm, elevators, pool, and other issues you mentioned. We hope you will consider giving us another chance to prove we are up to the task of delivering excellent service and accommodations.

We had a double bed room with a pull out couch and were very happy with the decor and room layout. Kitchenette was very convenient and perfectly stocked for a short stay with a large bathroom. Very comfy beds but the pull out mattress was very worn in so my teens fought over who had to sleep on it every night.

The pool was stunning with great water views and we never heard any construction noise once. The breakfast would have been great if the patron before me had not broken the toasters so we had to have cold bagels. Nice fruit selection, the waffles and mini croissants were delicious but we did not enjoy the eggs (undercooked for our taste) and the turkey sausages looked like very unappetizing so we passed.

The best thing was the location - although it is a hike to south beach by foot it was only a $6 uber ride or wait for the free buses to take you down. Lincoln Street which was a 2 minute walk had a great variety of shops and restaurants even a Ross and Marshalls! We appreciated to be away from the night life of South beach so we recommend this hotel for families or those who want to enjoy South beach without the chaos.

Pros: Modern, updated rooms. Very accommodating staff. Great location near Lincoln Road Mall, Cool rooftop pool

Cons: None that I would consider a deal breaker, read below.

Booked two rooms over the weekend for my family and I would say the staff was very accommodating, from check-in to letting us use the public lounges to dine. If you want to stay away from the craziness of Ocean Drive, this is definitely the way to go as the location is great. There’s a grocery across the canal and Lincoln Road Mall is also 3 blocks away. There is also a cool infinity pool on the roof top, that was cool to take a quick swim and tan before hitting the beach. The hotel also provides free breakfast, which is pretty good and always stocked. The property seems to be well maintained, although some of the fixtures in the room seem somewhat fragile, so I would be careful because they charge a $50 deposit per room for incidental damages, which will be refunded if no damages are incurred. My only other observations was the carpet in the hallways and floors in our room were dirty. They could use a good scrubbing, however, I wouldn’t consider this a deal breaker. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the property and would stay here again.

We got a single bedroom suite in 5th floor. Absolutely fantastic room with a good sized kitchen and 2 TVs. Standard was excellent and a good sized pool on the rooftop. We were able to use the facilities after checkout, when we had a late flight.
The complimentary breakfast was not up to our wishes and standards, but the hotel is close to fresh market and Publix market.
