The South Seas Hotel it's a very good deal for those whom are looking for the best location for turism in Miami and good rates, which includes breakfast.

Look for Marcia, she is a front desk attendant and will assist you in everything.

Satisfied!

Rgds.

I stayed here for a 1 night stay and really enjoyed myself. Ana at checking in was pleasant and I was able to check in 1 hour early. Thank you for that. Rooms are clean and they have all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay including I-pod docking station. Nothing super fancy but good enough. Restaurant on site has good food. Great Mahi! Bartenders Lara and Charlotte make awesome drinks and they're very friendly. Pool area is beautiful and the hammocks in the back surrounded by palm trees are super relaxing. Nice touch.... Not to mention you're steps away from the ocean and in the heart of South Beach. One advice: If you valet your car, its $29 per night (comparable to most overnight parking) and it can take a while to get your car if you need it so call ahead from the room.

I stayed at this hotel with my husband and two young kids for four days in September. The location is indeed very good, and the lobby provides for a great first impression, but the positive surprises pretty much end there. The room we stay in (two queen-size beds) was small and smelly (of mould), the bathroom was so tiny that I could not close the door after helping one of my kids sit down on the toilet seat (because their knees would be in the way) and there was no minibar, fridge or anywhere to keep water or milk cool. The breakfast was very basic, served on paper plates, and unfortunately, there was nobody manning the bar at the same time, so impossible to get for example a cup of espresso (even if you would be prepared to pay for it). I have stayed at hotels where the breakfast is basic before, but normally, you can pay extra to get eggs, warm toast etc - not so at the South Seas.

The food served at the pool bar was ok, and the pool represented the main attraction for our kids the first day. However, I was surprised to see that the hotel staff left the cushions for the sunbeds out in the rain, which meant that they were wet and stained the following morning. In general, the subeds and everything around the pool are faded and not very well maintained, even if they serve the intended purpose.

On the morning of the first two days, we ventured down to the beach, but just behind the South Sea sunbed area, there is a huge machine operated with an extremely noisy generator, which makes it very unpleasant - unless you like feeling that you are in the middle of a construction site when you are at the beach. It looked like the installation was permanent, and it certainly did not tempt us to spend time at that part of the beach.

For us, the main draw of this hotel was its proximity ot Lincoln Street (where we went to Nespresso for a decent coffee and warm breakfast), but we would never stay here again. The hotel is not terrible, and if I was in my early 20s and wanted a fairly affordable place to stay at South Beach, I probably would be ok with this hotel, but for a family seeking a relaxing week-end in nice surroundings, it just does not provide the required quality / service / standard.

Room Tip: All the rooms on the second floor seemed to be of the same type and they were certainly not great. P...

I stayed here for two days before going on a cruise, I've stayed at other South Beach hotels on Ocean and on Collins. This hotel is pretty laid back, most of the people who stay here are from Europe and South America. The location is excellent, right on the beach...and the pool area is nice too. I came here with my family and it was their first time in South Beach and they really enjoyed themselves here. The rooms were a little tight but functional and staff was very friendly. So if you're looking for a laid back place in South Beach with a great location and nice pool...this is it.

There is a reason We have stayed here 5 years in a row. They CONSISTENTLY provide a great experience!! We recognize nearly all of the staff, as they do us. Most have been here quite some time and that says alot.

Every year We notice improvements to the property. In 5 years We have seen the exterior completely painted, rooms re-done, and new hall carpet. This time it was new hammocks in the garden between the pool and beach.

If You are looking for friendly, casual, comfortable accommodations in a SoBe location that is 2nd to none, at a great value, this is IT!

Give the South Seas a try, You will not be disapointed.

Room Tip: Rooms to the rear will have the best vue.

Stayed here with 6 other ladies for a bachlorette party/trip.

Location was perfect.....on the beach, walking distance to Lincoln Rd, easy to find anything you want/need. 24 hour CVS is nearby.

Service was great....friendly staff and accommodating. Appreciated their honesty in saying diner across street is overpriced.

Guests are primarily S. American or European. Nice to hear mix languages in the morning.....makes me feel like I am in Europe!

Breakfast is included.....good coffee....fresh fruit....bagels are horrible....croissants are moist and tasty.....banana bread is dry. Not meant to be a major meal but serves its purpose.

Pool is lovely.......clean and cared for. Hammocks are a nice touch.

Onsite restaurant has very good food..
..priced well and worth eating at for lunch or late afternoon snack. Drinks are yummy too.

Rooms are nice.....nothing luxurious but you are in Miami, you shouldn't be in your room all day! bathrooms are small.....smaller than a lot of the ones in European hotels. Beds are comfy, pillows and duvet were perfect.

Overall I would say this is a great place to stay for the money and location. It is what you want and are envisioning for your South Beach vacation!
