Excellent hotel with many services and fantastic restaurants. I had a room with a balcony with view on the pool which is quite big. The beach is a few step away and is beautiful. The hotel has many different restaurant and for a kind of "veggie person" I have tried a steak and was totally convinced, the staff give precious advices and is very professional.

I had the most amazing stay at this hotel. From top to bottom everything was perfect! The room was amazing as well as the service. Spent the day with my wife at the pool and had a great experience thanks to our server Katie! Also thank you to our front desk help from Jacque! Will be back again. Thank you for this magical experience Fontainebleau!

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very clean and spacious. It is a little more expensive than most other hotels on Miami Beach. The hotel caters to the under 30 crowd so it is not the most family friendly although there is a nice pool area for kids. The service is also hit or miss. Out on the beach, the guys who set up your chairs were excellent and attentive. We also had great service by one of the servers named Jai who brought our food right away after we mentioned we would have to leave soon. Scarpetta also offered excellent service. In other areas of the hotel, the service was average at best. Bartenders by the pool are overwhelmed and not friendly. The valet is horrific with very poor service and long wait times

Room Tip: Look on websites such as VRBO for better deals than what are offered by the hotel.

We were lied to at front desk immediately steered away from room I booked in main area to an owner condo in a building aways away. We were told it would be ocean view with balcony. After walking for some time we arrived at the unit smelled musty no view only bushes. We had to go wait in the huge line at checking again (one hour total now) to get the original room. We also asked for late check out initially. She told me rather than 11 I could get 12 no mention of additional fee but book in room mentions charging you another half day. Tried to call guest services to clarify they didn't know transferred me to front desk waited on hold left message never heard back. Crazy bad experience!!

Drove from orlando to this hotel for 2 nights as it was my husbands birthday hotel is very nice only valet parking comes in at 41 dollars a night resort fee of 20 dollars a day makes it kind of pricey room not that clean !!! Worn out carpets not really a five star that's inside outside pool amazing more beds , towels parasols than you could ever need nowhere to buy food and drink other than the hotel which is terribly expensive !!!!! Unless you are prepared to drive

The hotel itself looks great, it has all the good things you would expect based on the pictures and 'Miami' expectation. We (family of five) stayed in this hotel (Tresor one bedroom Suite) for five nights as the closure of a fabulous four-week US trip. The room was beautiful and all amenities were present. The swimming pool, beach area and restaurants all look great. The quality of the food is good, however expensive, but that was no surprise. The truly negative points of the hotel are its staff in general (uninterested) and inconsistency in upholding its own rules. For example our youngest child, six years, was a hair too short to use the slide in kids pool. This was after he had been riding the slide for a number of times. They were very strict, were sorry, but you know we have a legal department…..etc. On the other hand the poolside rules state that drinking in or in the pool area or smoking in the pool is prohibited, however these rules are not enforced. As a result you have people with drinks (including the ones who had one or two to many), cigarettes and even cigars in the main pool. They are even a bit agitated when people, in their view, splash too much when swimming. Even after bringing this fact to the attention of staff or managers, nothing is done about it (although they confirm that the stated pool rules, are indeed the pool rules….). We guess it is because they make money from the drinks and a kids slide, well does not bring in extra cash. For a family with kids, this hotel is not the place to be.

There was one (very) positive experience and that was the service and attention given to us by Pool Host Kristin. Unaware of our experience at the hotel till that moment, she made our last day at the hotel a very pleasant one. She made sure that we were well taken care of during the day, making sure we had drinks, food etc. and in general was a pleasant and nice person. We understood that she had only worked at the hotel since about two months and we advised her not to change, stay herself and not become like so many of her co-staff at the hotel. If she does that, we are sure she will do well at this or any other hotel/resort. All the compliments go to Kristin.

Room Tip: Tresor one bedroom suite, ocean view.

Mother father and 12 yr old daughter stayed for 13 nights in July/August 2014.

Good: the queen beds - very comfortable. The room size. Pools and sunbeds with two fresh towels each. Security - it felt relatively secure.

Bad: valet parking - very expensive and very very slow to deliver car to you. Plan for 30-45 minutes wait. The room has no tea or coffee making kit assuming you will pay exorbitant room service fees. Poolside music starts of great in the morning and then becomes painfully loud and monotonous in the afternoon when the younger community arrive for chat up sessions on the pool.

Top tips. Park in the parking lot two blocks up the road for $10 per day 8am to 6pm (takes credit card) except Friday to Sunday when you get charged $20 overnight due to nightclub traffic. Still cheaper than hotel.

Starbucks in the Eden Roc foyer is 5 mins walk next door for cheaper coffee croissant etc for breakfast.

Enjoy!
