I recently spent the Labor Day weekend in Miami at the Alexander suite 1121. I was there with a group of girl friends to celebrate my bachelorette party. The building's exterior is being renovated so there is scaffolding all around. It doesn't look very pretty on the outside but obviously these are necessary for the improvement of the building and safety of the workers. The room was clean and modern. There were plenty of towels and paper products. Because of the reno work the balcony was not accessible, sort of a bummer but again, understandable for safety reasons. I liked that there was a full kitchen since we brought our own drinks and snacks for the day time. While I was there you had to walk through the underbelly of the hotel to gain access to the pool and the beach- a little creepy, but not terrible. The pool and deck are clean and well appointed. We spent some time at the tiki bar upstairs also. The drink prices are ok but the food was actually quite good. A few of the girls had breakfast at the hotel one day and raved about the variety. We went down to the beach with our own blankets and towels since chairs must be rented. The hotel is near enough to any and every attraction from South Beach to downtown. We felt safe and comfortable there as a group of females. The suite has wi-fi and TV's in every room which was convenient. It was great having two bathrooms and the large mirrors in the master dressing area when we were getting ready to go out. The beds were clean and comfortable, there was plenty of room for everyone. Overall, we had a very good time and would stay there again.
