I'm from the island of Sardinia so to find a pace in Miami that makes my traditional food makes me happy, never had a bad meal, the Seadas are not truly as they should be but everything else is pretty good. Great spaghetti alla Bottarga.

We hosted a birthday party last night at Sardinia (7/11/13) we had approximately 40 guess. The food was plenty. The service as well as the food were good. However the air conditioning wasn't working properly and after some wine everybody was sweating profusely. We kept asking the waiters to address the issue and after more than three attempts, we had to spoke with Maximo the manager. The air conditioning problem was never fixed and by the end of the night, we were all feeling extremely sticky and uncomfortable.
The poor functioning of the AC gave a negative taste to the whole experience.
Am I the only one who think that keeping a rather cool environment in a restaurant will help to sale the wine?
The food is good, but before you go to Sardinia, make sure the AC has been fixed, otherwise bring your beach attire.

Romantic atmosphere in a up and coming foodie area in Miami Beach. The food are excellent regional italian offerings with a well crafted wine list.

Consistency, versatility, and excellence are not easy qualities to come by; Sardinia is one of those rare places that continues to embody all of these qualities, even as it approaches what might qualify for veteran status in Miami.

Located near the Venetian causeway on Miami Beach's Purdy Avenue (the quieter side of town, but a bustling restaurant district), Sardinia consistently justifies itself with excellent fish, strong pastas, a strong, creative Italian dominated wine list, and excellent cheese/vegetable/cold meat platters, all with a dash of Sardinian style. (Look for the homemade cracker bread, their Sardinian jam, or the roasted pig. Try the burrata to share.)

Virtually anything from their wood oven is excellent (last night's roasted snapper was a standout), and dishes like bacon-wrapped quail, salt-baked branzino, broccoli rabe, or pasta with home made sausage are always strong. Even simple touches like addictive fresh bread take this experience to a higher level. (Sardinia could be in Manhattan--we saw one of the chefs in Batali-like orange Crocs last night.)

For me, Sardinia is an always-excellent "go-to" destination for business dinners (large and small), birthdays, nights out with friends, and of course a Saturday night movie dinner on the Beach. It's a great place that gives Miami Beach that special edge.
