I have stayed in many "fine" hotels in South Beach including the Delano. I highly recommend The Angler's for it's central location, cleanliness and quiet. This is a small hotel, not recommended for young children although I brought along my teenage son and we had a great time. This hotel is not "scene-y" and it's not directly on the ocean but the location is great, the rooms are lovely and the pool area is small but elegant and quiet. We easily walked to sites, activities and beaches. Would stay again--no question. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. It's a hidden gem.

Here's why we love The Angler's: 1.Beautifully restored historic small hotel. 2. Only a few blocks from the buzz of Ocean Drive and the beach, but far enough away to be quiet in the wee hours. 3. Sincerely friendly and professional staff (thank you Steve and Marc) Guest services responds to requests within minutes. 4. Clean, comfortable suites with big, comfy beds and crisp white linens, marble walk-in showers, BIG plasma TV, wireless internet, audio/TV speakers in the ceiling, wet bar and thoughtfully stocked mini-fridge with beverages and sundries. 5. Small but swanky pool and outdoor lounging area.
Here's what we wished they had: Coffee makers in the suites.

We can't wait to go back, the Angler's is really a wonderful boutique hotel.

A weekend getaway trip for two nights and the hotel did exceed what we expected. All staff were great and helpful with any questions or anything they could do to make the stay as pleasant as possible. The rooms have everything to make you feel comfortable and relaxed, from the sheets, to the mini bar, to the tv mounted on the wall you can swivel & watch from the couch or bed. Just take note there is no coffee maker in the room.
Location is good, a couple blocks from the beach, and walking distance for tons of restaurants, stores etc.
Have to recommend, for good food & an Irish pub, try The Playwright, up the street 6 blocks.
The pool area is a little tight for space, but cozy none the less with loungers.
A CVS, is two blocks south, and late night pizza right across the street.
This is the third time to South Beach, and plan on staying at The Anglers on any future trips!

This is a beautiful and well maintained property just 3 short blocks from the beach. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed during our six night stay. While I requested a simple studio, the sales manager gave us one of the two floor duplex units, with private patio and every imaginable amenity. The restaurant "660" was very good, although a bit slow. There is a smaller pool and lounge area, which sadly we did not use as the weather was unseasonably cold. I will stay here again!

A nice hotel, with a good situation: where you have to stay without doubt: the end of the collins avenue is now crowded too than you are not too far from the activitie's and it's not too noisy.
The hotel: nice....nice and fresh decoration, room great size. But take care: it's still SOBE: nice words to describe, don't expect more or don't exspect the dream that this words evokes for you. If the hotel stay : sq M2 and terrace, you have it no more. But the terrace can be just in front of the other rooms (with a small passage between your terrace and the terrace in front)...no place enought to have the sun....and the tranquility. Don't exspect to fell free to walk in your room if your curtains are open (except if you have the perfect body).
The rooms are nice, large, the same for the swimming pool.
The staff is....the staff no more: win the money and see later...an arrival at 4.30 pm and a room not ready for 300 US/night plus tax: no excuse. Look after your bill: no need signature during the stay but at the end of your stay: be sure of your drinkings and so......The difference can be significative with the same big smile of the desk of course

I stayed at this great hotel in December before the holidays and traveled around for the holidays in Florida and California. I left a review for my first stay.

After leaving California we were spending 2 more nights in Miami before flying home to Buenos Aires, Argentina. We already had another hotel booked but we ended up cancelling it to book again here at the Anglers.

We were put in a bit of a different room that was a little smaller but it was only 2 nights so we didn't mind. Once again the stay was very easy. They set up a baby crib once again for our baby, helped with the bags and the valet parking was very convenient. Free wi-fi was really convenient and glitch free.

I can't say enough great things to say about this hotel. The restaurant downstairs always seemed pretty dead but the food was actually pretty good as we got room service a few times. We dined out so much during our vacation we were really tired of going out by the end of our trip.

Another night we ordered Domino's Pizza (as we don't have good Pizza in Buenos Aires) and it was quick and easy and the hotel let him come up to our room.

Everyone was always so friendly and treated us well. The rooms are great and the rooms are quiet. I see no need to stay in any other hotels that are more expensive than this hotel. We were supposed to stay at a much more expensive hotel but after our first trip we figured there was no need to. The only thing missing is a great view but considering the value for the quality I think we probably will stay here each time we go to Miami Beach.

My boyfriend and I spent four days at the Anglers in January and we loved it. The location is super, just a few minutes stroll from the beach and many restaurants and sidewalk cafes from where to view the beautiful people. Our room was large split between a living area and bedroom with two flatscreen tv's. The room was very clean with crisp white linens, good Aveda products in the bathroom and bathrobes. There was a turndown service each night where they refreshed used towels , and delivered a bucket of ice and choccies ! there is a valet service at $19 per day with unlimited access to the car and this is good as otherwise it is street parking meters. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive. the pool area and outsiding eating areas are tastefully decorated. Anytime we sat by the pool fresh iced water immediately appeared. we only ate breakfast at the hotel and this was very good but the restaurant did seem to have a regular clientele for lunch and dinner. Our only minor gripe was that the pool was too hot (yes, too hot !) and was like getting into a hot bath, not sure why. the temperature was in the eighties so maybe this had something to do with it. Overall we loved the Anglers and would definitely return.
