Thank you to the entire staff and Marc Lawrence for a great experience at The Anglers! This hotel is an absolute gem. The rooms are beautifully decorated and inviting, the pool area is relaxing and the food and drinks are top notch! All of the staff members from the valet, to the front desk clerk, to the waiters and bartenders were extremely accommodating! This is a great hotel to relax in and enjoy the Florida weather. The hotel is only a short walk to the beach and has many great restaurants and bars within walking distance, although the bar and restaurant at The Anglers is so great you don't need to leave! I was only able to stay for one night, but this is definitely a hotel I will tell my friends about and will absolutely return to myself. Once again, thank you for the great experience and keep up the great work!

Room Tip: We stayed in a room directly off of the pool(room 105) It had a large bed and a nice seating area as...

This hotel is a hidden gem in Miami Beach. The rooms are spacious, modern, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Our room came equipped with an amplifier, speakers throughout the room, fully stocked mini bar, huge flat screen, and a nice view to Washington Ave. The staff is outstanding, and I mean everybody. From the valet person, to the front desk, to the staff at the restaurant. They all go out of their way to make you feel at home. From now on, when we go to Miami Beach, this hotel will be our number one choice. Thank you!

Room Tip: Rooms in the third floor are quieter.

We stayed here for 5 nights in February, our first holiday without our children in almost 20 years, so we decided to go for a boutique hotel, rather than one of the tower blocks we had previously stayed in on South Beach. From start to finish we could not find fault. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and had lovely decor. Staff were helpful and pleasant, particularly Kelvin who served us our drinks from the bar each night and always found time for a chat and to enquire if we were having a good time. The beach is only a short walk away (5 minutes approx) which didn't bother us at all. We intend to come back over from England next year, this time with our teenage children, and will certainly book this hotel again.

Thank you Anglers for allowing us to check in very late after we were "walked" from our reserved Miami Beach hotel that was overbooked.
Somethings happen for a reason as we loved our new hotel and the staff (Alvaro, Jessica, and the manager). I am extremely picky and Anglers was a wonderful surprise. Would definitely return!
Stayed in a two floor villa. Rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was awesome!

Thank you for your recent visit and kind review!

I am so glad that we were able to fix your visit after you were walked from another hotel. It sounds like your vacation from the brutal New York winter was saved. I will personally share your glowing feedback with our night auditor Alvaro, Frond Desk Host Jessica and Michael our Front Office Manager. They are sterling examples of the type of staff that we have throughout our beautiful oasis.

We look forward to welcoming you home again soon.

I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful, the room was clean/spacious, quiet, pool was nice. We used the Hotel Tonight app, so we booked this room and arrived at the hotel within 15 minutes of each other. Staff decorated our bed with rose petals for our anniversary which was a nice touch. Things I could say weren't perfect - we were in an adjacent building, which was fine, it just had more of a 'motel' feel versus a hotel, since we entered completely separate & outside from the main building. Bar was extremely small. 2 bar seats, so if you were having a drink, you get it and go sit outside, which were couches, candlelit and romantic - which was a nice feel/touch. Room was clean, but extremely. Enjoyed the duplex feel - but we also had a 2nd staircase from the bedroom up to the roof - and it would have been nice if the roof was accessible and that it had chairs or something out there to sit on - but it said "do not enter". What was the point of the extra staircase? Lastly, overall, the hotel was nice, quiet, very boutique and perfect for couples (dont think this was kid friendly at all). Using the Hotel tonight app, you get rooms at hotels that are trying to fill their inventory for that night, so the rooms are cheaper. Paying $399 for this room, I think was high compared to the hotel/location that we stayed in our second night there (used the app again).. Overall it was a nice stay and was good for what we were looking for - but I dont know if we would stay again.

We called the Anglers hotel after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and that was the best Decision we made all night! Jessica was so helpful and was even waiting for us outside we when arrived! She also worked out a better rate then she quoted us over the phone. Jessica is a wonderful Representation of what customer service should always be like!!!!! I will never stay anywhere else! On our way back from Key West, my wife and I decided to stay a night in Miami Beach. We decided on the Angler's Hotel from reviews here and booked a Manor Villa. Here are the details of our stay / opinions:

Location:
I have mixed emotions on the location.. My first reaction to the location was disappointment that it is a few blocks from the beach and towards the far West end of "the strip" - so a walk to and from a dinner on Ocean Blvd turned out to be a hike. However, it was a nice evening and since realizing how crazy South Beach can be in that area, we appreciated the seclusion later.

Accommodations:
The Manor Villa is VERY NICE inside. Downstairs is a living area with a full bathroom, bar, sitting area (with pull-out), flat screen tv and high-top dining table. Upstairs is a full size King bed, desk area and full bath. We also had a great porch area with patio table and chairs and a jacuzzi. The only disappointment for us was a seeming lack of privacy for our room. We were the first villa facing Washington Blvd, and if you sit in the jacuzzi, you can see people walk and cars wizzing by. Not sure what I expected here, but it definitely doesn't feel like you are at the beach. The restaurant backed up to our villa room as well, which was loud for brunch until about 4:00 or 5:00, but quieted down at night.

Property:
You have to remember that this is a boutique hotel, so there are sometimes odd quirks to the hotel experience. For example.. The Angler's does not have a drive-in area to unload bags, so it is a little awkward pulling off to the side on Washington to valet the car and unload bags directly onto the sidewalk with pedestrians walking by. When walking into the hotel, you walk your bags through the restaurant (full of people no less) in the front to a front desk situated in a hallway. That experience is a little awkward. However, it is made-up for by immaculate conditions, great decorating, an accommodating staff and a boutique hotel feel - which is what I like better than a stodgy tower of 100+ hotel rooms.

Service:
One major hiccup we received happened not 20 minutes after we checked in. We received a heavy knock on our front door. Before I could get to the door, I could hear the staff try and pull out their key card to enter our room! After answering, two staff (that could not speak english) were trying to speak with us and pointing inside our room. Finally, one of them walked over to my wife's purse and pointed to it and asked if she could look through it. After objecting, they decided to just look through the couch and pull-out bed, only to not find what they came to look for. Bewildered, we called the front desk to tell them we had maids enter - to the response of "and what is your question?" Apparently someone left their iphone in the room previously and they wanted to see if it was left in the room. Advice to the hotel - send someone to the room that can speak english and we would be happy to help you look for the lost phone. After possibly seeing that it was not appropriate, and to their credit, they did send champagne to our room after dinner - at no cost.

In all, it was a very nice hotel with a wonderfully accommodating staff, for a price that is difficult to beat (for what you get) in Miami Beach. I am being picky with the review, but we did find it to be a different experience than what we were expecting. We would come back again, but may try a hotel on the beach next time.
