“Nice to visit, but not for children”
Reviewed April 10, 2012

This museum is different from other museums most people have visited. It is erotic in a way. It is good experience for adults, but do NOT visit if you bring your children unless you prepare to answer the curious minds.

“A little too much of the same thing”
Reviewed April 9, 2012

For the price of admission... not bad. I got a little bored of it all after a while.

“One of the better attractions in Miami”
Reviewed April 4, 2012

Probably one of the better features of Miami; at least this was vaguely interesting, though not as ‘offensive’ as they may make out. They had done a fairly good job of collecting a wide range of erotica from around the world, although a lot of it consisted of relatively contemporary items, or contemporary reproductions of older works. The organisation tended to be rather cluttered though and labels did not always match the displays. They also had a rather stingy ‘no photography’ policy, and required all bags to be ‘checked’ in an area that did not inspire confidence. At $15 the price was rather steep; probably would be more worth it at around half that price, but at least it is something worthwhile seeing in South Beach.

“So Much too See and Learn”
Reviewed February 25, 2012

It is understandable most adults would not consider visiting because of the title. But it would be a mistake to bypass this exhibit simply because of its topic. It does tell a story about a topic rarely told or talked about. Inside the storefront, second floor museum, are rooms of erotic art thematically organized. Each room is small, the displays are organized like a antique store with numerous display cases and walls crowded with artwork. The displays could use more detailed printed information and even a waking guide to better educate the public. There are no docents or personnel available to consult with during the self-guided tour. The decor is dated and feels old, but lighting is comfortable and viewing the artifacts is easy enough. It took nearly 90 minutes to view the collection. There was much that connected with history as well as some 'never knew that' moments.

“Amazing”
Reviewed February 16, 2012

This place was awesome! When my wife and I went in we figured it would be a quick 15 or 20 walk through. It turned out to be about 2 hours of eroticism displayed in art, religion and everyday life from Biblical times to the present. Much of it I had seen through the years and so much more was new and suprising!
