Very interesting to learn the history of this group and see the inside of this magnificent building designed by Frank Gehry. This is a gem in South Beach. Tours are only offered on Saturdays and Tuesdays.

Reviewed February 7, 2014

in the middle of all the action between clubs, restaurants, its great to seat in the different atmosphere to hear good live music.
I love the fact that you can seat behind stage.
totally recommend, specially to take kids to appreciate music.

“A true cultural asset for Miami”
Reviewed February 2, 2014

The New World Symphony is a pre-professional training orchestra for young musicians, overseen and led since its founding by Michael Tilson Thomas. It is THE premiere such orchestra in America. But providing the young musicians a living stipend and free housing, and by providing the highest level of training and performance experience, the New World Symphony attracts the finest young musicians in American graduating from conservatories. The orchestra plays almost at the level of a great professional orchestra, and with an enthusiasm and emotinal involvement that can surpass professional orchestras. An all Tchaikovky concert heard on February 1, 2014, featuring the "Pathetique" Symphony, was a thrilling experience. Anyone who loves symphonic music, and who wants to experience the future of classical music in America, should see and hear this orchestra - particularly in their wonderful new hall.

“Great performance space”

Beautiful concert hall with young musicians and a diverse repertoire. There is 360 degree seating and projection walls. It was a unique and entertaining way to see and hear classical music.

“Great Building Inside and Out”
Reviewed December 25, 2013

This Frank Gehry building is modern and nicely designed for its purpose. We were there for a performance by the Miami Symphony Orchestra, and the seating and acoustics were excellent. It is smallish and intimate; there is not a bad seat in the house. Other than the concert hall, there is a fabulous roof top garden with great views, a big modern looking bar in the foyer, and ample outdoor space. This is used for Wallcasts - concerts, movies etc. projected onto a wall, free for all who wants to bring a blanket or chair to sit and watch. There is parking in its own garage as well as others very close by. What a fabulous facility.
