“SPECTACULAR GHERY ARCHITECTURE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

I love the light, sound, design and accessability to the public at least 1x/wk on a huge Wallcast. Movies, and symphonies are made available for those who can not afford the entry fee. A great green lawn to picnic, bring the kids, and even the dog - and keep in touch with the beauty of classical music.

Marty M, Docent at New World Symphony, responded to this review, February 20, 2013
The New World Symphony building is Frank Ghery's only commission in the state of Florida and, yes, we totally agree with this reviewer that the building is spectacular. There are two ways to see the building from the inside: 1) buy a ticket to a performance and 2) sign up for a docent-led 45-minute tour of the interior, including a stop in the concert hall and a visit to the panoramic roof garden, with the best views in South Beach. Tours, which cost only $5, can be reserved on the NWS web site and are offered four times per week. I can't wait to give you your own guided tour!

“BEST DEAL OF MIAMI BEACH”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

Great music, great experience, great building, great atmosphere, simply great. Outdoor concerts are sometimes better than indoors. The acoustics are great and you get to drink and eat.

“An Amazing Academy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

"America's Orchestral Academy" is a fabulous institution. With a Frank Gehry designed concert hall facility, the building is something major orchestras all over the world would covet. The "student" orchestra is spectacular. The Wallcast® of concerts is a great event. A six storey white wall facing a lovely park receives images of the concert inside and the sound system is very good. Bring a bottle of wine, and head over to Paul on Lincoln Rd Mall to get some decadent Parisian treats to enjoy while you hear great performances of orchestral music.

“Great indoors or out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

A treat to have something so special in Miami Beach. Enjoy the full experience in the concert hall, or have a relaxing evening under the stars when there is a wallcast. Bravo Michael Tilson Thomas and everyone at New World Symphony!
