Lincoln Rd may be more popular but we liked this historic area far better. It has a quaint, festive feel to it, and seems like it would be perfect for a romantic evening. Like Lincoln Rd, it has its share of average, overpriced restaurants but we thought Havana 1957 was fun and reasonable (though Little Havana undoubtedly offers better Cuban fare).

The Espanola Way artists building is a must see on your visit. It has gone through a lot of changed over the years and if you visit Mark Rutkowski's studio and get a chance to meet him...ask him about the history of the building and the artists that resided there over the years
Mark's a great guy and very approachable

Great scenery and lighting. It seems like a romantic spot, but its great for a quiet dinner or drinks with friends. Not so busy. There are a few restaurants to choose from. I loved Havana 1957, delicious food and great service.

If you are in South Beach you must stop by Espanola way. It is an eclectic street with a unique vibe and real working artist spaces. Mark Rutkowski is a world famous artist who is happy to open his studio for those with a true interest in art. I have been by the studio many times and own some of Mark's works. If you really are into art or are at least evolved beyond the Neanderthal stage you will find this a very interesting experience.
