We've been to the Ola at the Sanctuary based on the Tripadvisor reviews and we have not been disappointed.
It is a bit away from the scene in Miami Beach on a side road and if you did not target it based on the address you would probably never pass by or see it.
We booked a table and this worked out very good, no surprise in a professional environment like this. The service was extremely friendly, attentive and we did get explanation and advise on everything we asked.
A couple beside us was chatting and as they heard that we are not from the US we started a short discussion. The woman told us that she usually only goes there on business as it is quite expensive, but worth it. They are locals and told us that this is the best restaurant in Miami Beach and they are happy that it is not in middle of the touristic area so that it is not overcrowded. We didn't tell that the restaurant is already quite popular within the tourist community referring to Tripadvisor ;-)
We were happy having found this gem and it was a wonderful experience and we've been told that this is probably the best authentic latin american restaurant in Miami Beach.
We went for a mojito with the starter, which was the smoked marlin tacos - wow! Just great!
For the mains we had Pollo Criollo and roasted Cuban pork. We had a beer each and my partner a coffee at the end. We paid 166.37 (incl. 18% gratuity on the bill) and rounded up so that we finally included around 20% gratuity as we really have been happy with the service and the food.
We must admit it was more expensive than other restaurants, but it was a great experience as we did like everything we ordered and the coffee was excellent too.
This is another place we will go back to during our next stay in Miami Beach.
