“Amazing Taste Combination”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

Second time a Ola. First time with the kids. Even though we didn't have a reservation, the made it work on a Saturday night, even adding an table out of storage. Once again the ceviche was amazing: tuna with foie-gras, odd combination that really worked. The short rib empanadas were a great treat. Every one tried a different main course. The big hits were the lamb loin and the duck were the big hits, but everything was consistently great with interesting flavor and texture combinations. This will be a regular stop in Miami.

“Fire & Ice Cobia Dish at Ola”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

Worth the visit if you are in South Beach Miami, People were very friendly. Located in the heart of South Beach Florida. A menu to die for, our preference was the Fire & Ice Cobia is simply the best refreshing dish I have ever tasted.

“Food was good, place is loud and crowded, inconvenient for parking”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

We were sent from our hotel as a "quite" place. It is anything but that. We made a meal with a couple of different cerviches and empanadas and had the key lime desert (just ok). We will be back in Miami in June and may try it again. I did not like that our original waiter abandined us for a larger table.

“Superb restaurant - definitely worth a visit”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

We came here on the strength of its reviews (and were going out afterwards on Lincoln Road) and were not disappointed.

We wanted to sit outside and so had a drink at the bar while we waited for a table to become available (we should have requested a table outside when we booked!). The cocktail took a little while to come but before long we were sat at our table outside.

The service from our waiter and the sommelier was excellent - they were professional but also good fun/not stuffy.

The food was excellent with good sized portions. They are renowned for their ceviches apparently (and we overheard other guests comment approvingly) but we had been to Panama just before so were ceviches-out. We had the meatballs and the short-rib empanada (which came out like mini cornish pasties) to start which were very good followed by the filet mignon churrasco and pork milanesa (i think) which were both superb. No room for dessert - absolutely stuffed!

We went out on Lincoln Road afterwards to continue a great night. Very recommended.

(Only slight criticism is that they add to the bill (check) a small donation to a local hospital. You can ask for it to be removed. It would not have been so bad had it been a state-run or charity-run hospital for those who couldn't afford decent private medical care but it's a private hospital. Not sure why they need charitable donations?!)

“Very good food, great service the place just ok”
Reviewed March 18, 2013 via mobile

The place looks good, it is a little bit loud but nothing out of the ordinary really, the service by a turkish girl was great, we had cocktails which were good, then some marlin tacos which were good, and ceviche which was good also, the thing is I was just in Peru on business , and well, there is absolutely no comparison to be made......then my wife had a fish on a plantain crust which was goooood, I had the duck which was also outstanding, altough the rice that comes with it I personally did not like, but my wife loved it, we had the key lime pie for dessert which was only ok, not really worth it.....bill came up to $ 190 tip included plus the 20 dlls I had to pay for parking across the sreet.....
