Description: From the man who brought Miami the celebrated cuisine at A Fish Called Avalon for nearly a decade comes Quinn’s, one of Miami's up and coming seafood favorites. Award-winning Chef/Proprietor Gerry Quinn is well known, well loved, and his culinary finesse has transformed a visit to the bustling Ocean Drive into an absolute treat. Quinn is dedicated to utilizing only the freshest available ingredients- from pristine seafood to just picked native farm produce. Cleverly redefining “local flavor”, the beloved chef fuses old-Florida style seafood concepts with progressive global trends. The result is a South Beach seafood institution in-the-making.

Nicely situated on Marriott's grounds to give a full view of the beach. We sat in an air conditioned part of the restaurant that allowed people in the bar seats to enjoy a completely open air, unobstructed view of the sand and water. That has to cost a bundle in lost energy for a restaurant to do this, but they obviously are more interested in guest experience than shaving overhead. Staff is attentive and congenial. We had a mid-afternoon libation without feeling rushed, or intrusive on the luncheon trade. Quinn's is a casual, yet upscale retreat, near the pool, that's open to the public as well as to guests.

Had dinner seated on outdoor terrace. Great mojitos, friendly wait staff, excellent food. A great place to take in the scene in South Beach, would definitely go here again.

Let's cover the highlights first. Outstanding location and the sunset fire dance was impressive. Service was good. However, keep in mind that this is a resort restaurant so prices are pretty steep. We had four plus a 3 year old who dined with a couple of drinks and it was $166 including tip which was added automatically. The fish tacos were nothing special. The conch chowder was outstanding.

If you have had a long day around the pool this place is perfect but if you are going just for the food there are better places on Marco.

dinner for two on the terrace July, 2014. breezes off the water cool the terrace off nicely and seemed to keep the bugs away. service was excellent and the flavors were the best we had on this trip. started with the bam bam shrimp - amazing collection of flavors with some smoke and some sweetness. Also had the ceviche - strong but perfect citrus flavors and didn't need any crackers or chips - just eat with a fork. I had the filet with lobster mashed for entree - perfectly cooked and juicy. they also have very good mojitos. Highly recommended for the food and the people watching.

We were waliking down the strip and stopped in to "borrow" some air conditioning....we ended up having dinner. Great food & service from Pubeo (I think that was his name) and also was given a tour of the hotel by the guy at the front desk (forgot his name,,,7/4/14 evening after fireworks). He told me so much about the history of the place. Overall, a pleasant surprise and great ending to a great day!
