I was nervous to find that this restaurant had changed ownership, given all the praise the previous owner had received. Fortunately, I had an absolutely wonderful meal. The service was warm, lacking pretense, and attentive. The bread to start the meal was outstanding, and both the appetizer (goat cheese, greens, and a balsamic reduction) and the entrees (seafood osso bucco and snapper with capers/lemon-wine sauce) could be served at any of the best restaurants in the country. The atmosphere was romantic and definitely not for children, and the styling was more classic than contemporary.
The desserts were above average but unimaginative, and the wine list was average, but those would be the only qualifiers for an enthusiastic recommendation. This was the best food we had in Miami Beach, and we ate at four highly recommeded places.
