It's a little crazy what's going on on Oceah Drive :high sound of music ,bunch of all kinds of restaurants ,crowded walking and you don't know what to do .You want to have the good vibe at the right place and then you understand that you are at the right place: it's less crowded, there are no hostesses who try to convince you , the music sounds good and relaxing. You're at A Fish named Avalon. Staff welcoming but not too much familiar, food awesome ,tasty and fine . Don't forget to order for un Lavander Margarita. The cocktail helps you to get into the atmosphere and then you can relax from what you've experienced before you've found this oasis ...

I really enjoyed this restaurant. One of the few classy establishments on Ocean Drive in South Beach. The food was excellent, and the service prompt and courteous. The patio seating is perfect for people watching, but the indoor seating is an excellent option if you are looking for a more quiet, controlled, and elegant environment. I highly recommend!

Just happened upon this place after scanning for where too eat for dinner while walking down the strip, and looked up the reviews quickly. Figured we'd give it a try, although it was a bit pricier than we were looking for. Very glad that we did it anyway, in the name of vacation. The staff provided excellent, exceptionally attentive service. The food was amazing---this was some of the best seafood I've had in my life, and I grew up on a pescatarian diet. We weren't terribly hungry, so my husband and I shared the seafood risotto and some crab appetizer that were both just so... so good. We did have a flash downpour of rain that can be common in Miami (like 2-4 minutes, JUST enough to get you soaked and then disappear), so if showers are in the forecast and you choose to dine on the patio, just sit closest to the restaurant wall rather than the railing, and you'll be fine. Overall, Avalon is a stellar choice for seafood lovers.
