A stylish restaurant, with none of the hawkers typical of other restaurants on Ocean Drive. We a te inside as all the outside tables were full, but no matter. THe food was superb, my tuna was exquisite, and my wife considered her salmon the best she's eaten. Fully deserves its high TA ranking.

“Eat to great music!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 26, 2013

A Fish Called Avalon, on Ocean Drive, is in the center of all, with a live band that plays mostly Latin music but the other night played soft rock. Great food. We usually start our South Beach vacays with dinner at this restaurant. I had the Mediterranean octopus to start, which was to die for. Very tender and flavorful, not chewy at all. Service is quite good. You are in the heart of Ocean Drive and it's a nice walk after dinner.

“Perfectly civilized”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

In the middle of South Beach chaos, this restaurant delivers perfect service and great seafood at reasonable prices, making it a perfect dinner out on the boardwalk. Lobster tails were delicious, and so was the salmon, even thought the bisque could've used much less salt. Regardless, keep up the great work!

“delicious!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2013

I would recommend reservations unless you are willing to wait a bit. We requested an outside table which was perfect with the warm breeze. There was also live music playing outside. The staff was attentive and the food was delicious. We got the scallop appetizer, ahi tuna and the swordfish special.

“Fabulous Dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2013

We had a fabulous dinner outside and fabulous service. Would recommend this to anyone. The value for the meal was wonderful. Outside seating was the entertainment along with the "band". Would love to have this type of restaurant in South Haven, Michigan.
