30 years ago I was visiting sister in Miami and brother in law brought home stone crabs for dinner. Delicious. I envisioned Joe's as a shack some place near the beach. Hah! Finally went in person a few weeks ago. Waiters dressed in tuxedos. Room after room decorated like a sedate men's club. And the food-that was as I had remembered. Delicious. Got there early enough so we didn't have to wait. Always a long line according to regulars. Worth the wait, though. It's an experience. Food was great. Staff was competent. Ambience was interesting because I expected something a lot less formal. You're eating crab with your hands after all. Sister had the salmon which was stupendous (I don't really like salmon). Not perfect but damn near close.
