Step back in time at this 100 year old establishment. We were lucky, getting there around 6:00 and got the last available table. When we left the wait was easily 2 hours. But there is a large bar or outside area. Most people did not seem to mind.
Service is second to none. Ask, and it will be brought or done. Drop something and it is scooped up, seemingly before it hits the floor. The food is pricey. But combine the atmosphere, service and quality you know what you are paying for. It is also alright to order family style and share. Drinks were full pours and strong. The baked clams were delicious with 3 huge clams. Could be enough with a salad for someone who eats small meals. We found the snow crabs, Alaskan King Crab and the shrimp all tasty, prepared well and enough to eat. If you like brussel sprouts, give them a try. Dessert was great. The key lime pies was cold, fresh and creamy and the chocolate pecan pie ala mode disappeared before I got a second spoon full.
To bad the season is over. If you are in South Florida, October to May, this is definitely worth the time and money. Even for lunch, just to say you had the experience.
