“Delicious. Every Time.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2013

An entire restaurant devoted to Stone Crab and Stone Crab season, Joe's Stone Crab is a Miami institution, and one of the very few long-standing great finds.

The wait is long.

The service is hurried, but attentive.

The wine list is thoughtful.

The raw-bar style items are unrivaled. From Stone Crab claws, to Alaskan King Crab clusters the size of a small toddler, to lobster, everything is perfect.

The dining room is part of the adventure, so definitely go to experience it at least once! If you would like to avoid the hustle and bustle, you could always opt for the take-away and have yourself a picnic.

“Classy Fish House”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2013

A fish house may seem to be an unfair label on Joe's. They make such an effort to provide their patrons with fine dining experience. That makes it fun on special occasions but the share volume and diversity of patrons flowing through this open room establishment gives it the feel of a fish house. You're essentially dining with a 1000.

They have a diverse menu for those who prefer steak over seafood but if you haven't tried stone crab at Joe's, at least try an appetizer. Fantastic. Their sides are equally interesting. We like the grilled tomatoes but there are many good options.

The service hear is a step above. Rely on your waiter for whatever you need, including help navigating the menu. This is a south Florida destination...enjoy.

Like the stone crab season, his is a seasonal restaurant. I believe they're still closed June, July and August.

They don't take reservations and expect extra long waits on Friday and Saturday nights. I think it's worth it but if you don't like waiting for a table, avoid the weekends all together.

“Still the best...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2013

I've been going to this restaurant for over 30 years. The physical structure has changed but the quality of the food has not. Still a must when visiting Miami. You do feel like herded cattle as they push through a lot of patrons. Not a relaxing meal but worth it nonetheless.

“Best stone crab. Never disappoints.”

Everything on the menu here is great. Love this place. It always has a great atmosphere and while it can be a bit of a wait for a table it is worth it.

“expensive but good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2013

It was expensive but the stone crabs were delicious. The waiting time was just too long - we didn't have reservation and ended up waiting for up to an hour. Don't quite understand their scheduling system.
