An excellent hotel in a great location. We stayed in the suite (206) which was very roomy, had a great kitchen and 1.5 bathrooms. The staff were excellent - all 3 of the front desk staff were very friendly and very helpful and the house keeping lady did a great job too.

The hotel is on Espanola Way where there is plenty to eat, it is only 2 mins walk from Washington Ave and only 2 short blocks from the beach. Lincoln rd is also just 2 blocks away. Basically all of the main sights of South Beach are within walking distance or use the rental bikes that are all over the place.

The free WiFi was fast and worked fine. The only bad things I could say would be that it is a bit noisy on weekend nights because of the entertainment at nearby restaurants/bars and strangely there is no toaster or kettle in the rooms even though there is a full kitchen. The gym and pool are located at a different location, about 15 mins walk away.

I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again for sure!

Stayed here one night & loved it. It's very convenient to everything. Espanola Way has lots of good restaurants, Lincoln road is just a 5 minute walk away & Ocean ave as well as Collins ave is a 10 min walk. The staff was great & accommodating. The rooms are very nice, clean & a good size. I didn't have a car while on SoBe but they don't have parking or valet, only inconvenient thing when I had a friend come over. Besides that, I loved this hotel & will definitely be back next time I'm in SoBe!

We stayed in room 206 at the Casa Victoria Orchid Hotel from 18 July to 23 July. One of only two suites in this small boutique hotel of twenty-two rooms, room 206 is the larger suite and has three small balconies facing Espanola Way. This suite includes a separate bedroom, unlike the other suite. The full bath is off the bedroom, but conveniently there is a half bath off the living/dining room that includes a full sized galley kitchen. The suite is spacious and large enough for four people. Although the sofa in the living room doesn’t turn into a bed, the hotel provides a rollaway bed. We were surprised that the sofa in our suite didn’t convert into a bed because after booking with Expedia we called the hotel to inquire if the living room included a sofa bed and if it would accommodate three adults. We were told the suites include a sofa bed and comfortably accommodate four adults. In fact, we were told the very same thing when we checked in. We understand this is a new hotel, but that is not a good excuse for hotel staff to be disseminating inaccurate information. Nonetheless, the hotel was quick to provide a rollaway bed at no additional cost.

We’d like to say the hotel is amazing since there is much to like about it. Alas, it isn’t—not yet, at any rate. In fact, we believe it has opened sooner that it should have. Construction is ongoing. Once construction is finished and if greater attention is paid to details, staff training, housekeeping, etc., it may become a fine hotel. Right now, the best we can say about it is that the hotel is a work in progress that has tremendous potential and is ideally located on Espanola Way, a charming street (pedestrian only at night and on the weekends) close to everything and full of lively bars and restaurants that stay open till after 2 a.m., and funky stores. Although very busy, especially at night, we thoroughly enjoyed Espanola Way’s very different atmosphere from raucous Ocean Drive or frenetic Collins Avenue. The hotel plans to open its own restaurant/bar/café. We didn't miss having a restaurant/bar/café or a lounge on the premises, as the excellent A La Folie Café is right across the street. The small courtyard patio is set up with chairs, tables, and umbrellas, and the sidewalk by the hotel entrance with lounge chairs. We walked everywhere. The beach is four blocks away, as are the shops of Lincoln Road Mall. The hotel provides beach towels and beach chairs, if you ask for them, and offers a couple of bicycles for rent.

The fixtures and furnishings in the hotel are modern and tasteful. The many glass doors in our suite that open on to balconies (three balconies!) with beautiful plantation style shutters are gorgeous and bring in lots of natural light. The views of Espanola Way are also superb. But the installation and workpersonship are generally shoddy. For example, we found small pools of water occasionally (not consistently) in the drawers under the sinks in the main bathroom. The faucets or pipes may be leaking—or the sinks are not aligned properly with the pipes? We found the hairdryer in one of these drawers lying next to a pool of water. This could be dangerous. The windows in both bathrooms are badly installed. We could not open them as a result. The dishwasher is not properly installed. When we pulled the bottom rack the whole dishwasher came out from the cabinet. The towel rack in the half bathroom kept falling off. The full sized kitchen is meagerly stocked—there was a champagne bucket, but no glasses of any kind, no trash bin, no kettle, no dish drying rack, no tea towels or paper towels. The hotel’s website indicates all rooms have coffee makers and safes. Our room had neither. Before posting our review, we emailed the manager, as a courtesy, notifying her of observations during our stay. Our email didn’t get any response—not even a quick thanks for taking the time to alert the hotel of our observations.

There is no pool in the hotel, which didn’t bother us since we enjoyed swimming in the gloriously warm ocean. We overheard a hotel worker mention to other guests as they were checking in that they could use the pool and other facilities at their sister hotel, The Breakwater on Ocean Drive, with their room keycards. We were not informed of this privilege when we checked in.

Housekeeping is abysmal. It doesn’t appear the hotel has employed enough housekeepers for a property of this size. Our room was not done on two of the four days we were there (we left on the fifth day). On the two days it was “done,” hand towels in both bathrooms and bath mat in the full bathroom were not replenished (they were just taken away), trash from the trash bins in the bathrooms was not emptied. After returning to our room a little after 5 p.m. the day after we arrived and discovering it hadn’t been made up, we went down to the front desk to request housekeeping for our room. We were told it was too late for housekeeping: the housekeeper leaves at 5 p.m. We found when we checked into our suite that the dishwasher had not been emptied. We thought this was tacky.

The air conditioner in our suite didn’t work on our first night. It was fixed the following day and worked well thereafter. We were given the option of moving to a different suite when we complained that the air conditioner was out of order. We considered it, but the WiFi was not working in the suite we were offered on the third floor. Apparently, the signal from the router doesn’t reach the third floor.

We wish all rooms had ceiling fans. We wish the closet with the iron and ironing board off the living/dining room in our suite had cabinets and a rod for hanging clothes. Oddly, the fashionable Jean Prouvé EM style table in the dining/living room had only one chair (also fashionable) around it and none of the balconies had any seating.

The bed was comfortable, pillows were fluffy, bath towels were fairly plush, complimentary toiletries were of good quality.

We were overall very happy with this hotel. The rooms were spacious, very clean, freshly renovated. The bed and comforter were almost TOO comfortable making it very difficult to get out of bed in the morning haha. The bathroom looks new and very clean.
Location is IDEAL. Walking distance to Ocean Ave, shopping on Collins Ave, Lincoln Road, basically all of the places you would want to go. And the little village it is in (Espanola Way) is very charming and lively.
Staff is great-especially Valerie. She was extremely knowledgable about Miami and gave us all the info we needed and then some.
The only reason I knocked off 1 star is they have no parking. The closest lot is a few long blocks away and 18 bucks a night. I wouldn't mind so much to pay 18 a night, but only if they had their own lot or Valet service.
Overall, I would come back to this hotel for my next stay and think it's an AMAZING value for South Beach.

This is a ok resort friendly staff, just not what we expected. However South Beach is always fun and lots to do. We will be back to the beach just not here. There are some great restaurants, we ate at the front porch and it was amazing

I've been coming to Miami for many years and stayed in many different hotels around the area but this hotel so far has been a great find great price great location blocks away from the beach blocks from Lincoln Road walking distance of the nightlife and restaurants. I was able to walk anywhere from this location. the Staff just amazing, with smiles and ready to help, taking notes of my request . I also notice the communication between staff was on point. new shift knew exactly what I was calling for. Walking into my room made me smile, AC on and cool(very humid/hot day) it was very nice to walk in big size bed white sheets love the size of the room, I able to walk around in a very clean room. Very quite i loved it I will be coming back.

There's nothing better then planning a gettaway that truly turns out to be a vacation!!! The weather was beautiful, sights were amazing, jetpacking was spontaneous yet fun, and most importantly our home away from home was, to say the least, wonderful!!! Not only was the hotel in a wonderful location in the midst of what seemed to be our own little town (Espanola Way), the restaurants, bars, clubs, shopping, beautiful lighting down the street, but our hotel accomadations were what made our trip complete. When traveling the biggest risk you take, which can also be the most worry-some is the presence, comfort and stay at your hotel!!! You think of every movie you've seen where the hotel looked one way on a photo and then when you arrive its nothing further than a box with a cot!!! And then your wondering "Where in the world did they take that picture at!!!???" :-) My friend and I stayed at Casa Victoria Orchid Hotel in Miami and it was amazing!!! The overall cleanliness from THE FRONT GATE was wonderful and something you are excited to see as a traveler!!! Even the elevator, that announces the floor in an accomadating voice, was spotless!!! Our room was EXACT to the pictures online!! :-) And most importantly the staff; Valerie, Jason and Judith, were EXCELLENT!!! Everyday a smiling face welcomed us in or out of the hotel, followed by comforting conversation that only made our stay that much worthwhile! When you think about it, a nice hotel is only half the battle, the staff is who you call when in need or simply for a suggestion while in their town and all three were very helpful. From our bike ride on the hotels pedal bikes, to suggestions on clubs, restaurants, parking, or simply where to get ice from, was all a pleasant experience!!! More often then you realize the staff is what makes your stay complete! I can honestly say I have already recommended Casa Victoria Orchid Hotel to friends and look forward to returning next year!! So when asked how was Casa Victoria Orchid Hotel??? My reply is comforting, clean, pleasant, beautiful, and most importantly worth the trip!!! Thanks again to Judith, Valerie and Jason for the wonderful stay!!! We look forward to seeing you again!!! :-) :-) -----> Chelse & Justin ( Philadelphia, Pa.)
