From all the restaurants using a host, this Guy little bit musculair is a Hero in what he does. He got me seated within 20 seconds and other people aswell, the service from the rest of the staff is great aswell and the menu is diverse, the looks are good and the taste is awesome, if your in espanola way, this is a good choice.

NOTE: Cafe Nuvo is now called "MERCATO DELLA PESCHERIA"

My wife and I stumbled upon this place while walking along the ultra-touristy Espanola Way. The street is a very charming, pedestrian-only promenade and clearly catered to trap tourists with each restaurant and bar openly soliciting passer-byers - somewhat like Ocean Drive although classier. We were both hungry so after a quick review of some menus, we chose to give Mercato Della Pescheria a try. It was late in the afternoon and we were simply looking for a few apps, a few drinks before going back to our hotel to prepare for an evening out. I was completely expecting average food at best, and rushed service but we were completely and utterly surprised.

The manager, Mirko, and our waiter, Alessio, were nothing short of fabulous. They suggested a marvelous appetizer that wasn't on the menu that we could share. An out-of-this-world grilled shrimp and rice crab cake plate with a very tasty tomato-based sauce and grilled lemon to squeeze on top. Along with our beer and Mojito, it truly was something special.

Lastly, while the food was the best we had had for the duration of our stay in South Beach, the friendly service from both Mirko and Alessio truly made it remarkable. We will surely return to see their friendly faces again and try out some more of what Mercato Della Pesheria has to offer. In a city where dining is overpriced and lacking in quality, we found a great place I will return to again and again. Thanks Mirko and Alessio!!!

We came here only for an appetizer and a drink and we had the best meal in an entire week. Great special appetizer with a mix of lobster, crab rice cake, and a fabulous sauce. Wow. The typical calamari that I was craving about was equally great. The staff was super caring and the food was suggested by our great waiter Alessio. Super friendly and knowledged. He recommended our food and was right on top of everything. Mirko was great at hosting us and being sure he greeted us at the table and we had all we needed. Great great place. Very cute inside as well. And the street is adorable. Must go go go!!!

The inside of the restaurant is pretty and cozy, customers can sit inside or outdoors. Good location in South Beach. Parking is a problem.

The food was good. I asked for a dish that included butternut squash with the fish. When the dish arrived, I asked the server where was the butternut squash and she pointed at the sauce and insisted that it was the vegetable. We had to get the attention of another server in order to be able to get the butternut squash.

When we received our bill, an 18% service fee gratuity had been added to the bill. This was explained in the original detailed bill. We gave our server our credit card, for payment. When the server returned the bill for us to sign, the charge included their 18% service fee and they had added an additional line with the words TIP! Had I not taken the time to read the full bill earlier, I would have included the tip to the full amount that they had charged my credit card. The restaurant did not bring back the detailed bill with the 18% included service fee EXPLANATION when they brought us the charged bill with the request for additional tips.
