“Simple, but good”
Reviewed December 2, 2012

Not fancy, but good, quick, authentic Cuban. The Ropa Vieja was terrific, and the price was right, especially considering you're at South Beach where everything is pricey. Not a romantic place at all, but good eats. Not a place for a date!

“A good Cuban standby”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

The portions are plentiful; the food is average and the prices quite reasonable. However the place lacks any atmosphere and the waiters seem overly harried. Go if you want to save money and if you are hungry, but he restaurant is not fine dining.

“Guess we're in the minority!”
Reviewed November 27, 2012

This was one of the worst meals we had in Miami. The plantains were so dry that you couldn't really chew them. They were stale and sitting out and probably re-heated several times because I've never had them in such consistency.

My sandwich was burnt...the bread was really hard and very black. And the cafe con leche was just ok, there are better ones in the area. Definitely wouldn't go back, there are much better places nearby!

“Best Food in South Beach!”
Reviewed November 23, 2012

This place looks unassuming but the food is amazing. We ate here more than once but our favorites were the beef stew and the beef pot roast. Also the red snapper with shrimp, the plantains, the black bean soup, and the Cuban hamburger. Prices were very reasonable and service was great.

“Good, Cheap, and Authentic”
Reviewed November 22, 2012

Classic Cuban food served in a very informal setting on a non-descipt corner of South Beach. Cuban food is typically bland, not spicy, so if you're seeking some kick better find a Cuban fusion restaurant to spice things up. If you want classic dishes with a dive feel, then stop into Puerto Sagua. Two blocks from the beach, its location is perfect for a before or after meal cruise down Ocean Drive.
