If you're visiting South Beach, don't miss out on the outside bar of Smith & Wollensky. This is the best spot in the restaurant. I don't think the inside restaurant is anything to rave about, but a cocktail at the waterfront bar is not to be missed. The bartenders make awesome drinks and the view is amazing. You can also get a great burger, it's probably the the best item on the menu. A. Ice time to visit is the afternoon weekends...you can enjoy a cocktail, a few bar snacks and watch the cruise ships go by. We usually will go on a Sunday afternoon and enjoy a wonderful lazy afternoon with a good drink for a couple hours.

Being seated on the southern-most point of Miami Beach the place provides good view on passing by ships. It's located in a park and you can take a walk before or after your dinner. We liked the service but you will not find any gastronomic miracles here - the food is average and menu offers standard choice of dishes: variety of steaks, some fish, salads.

We heard very good things about this resturant. Upon arriving found the staff nervous. Upon sitting down the table next to us just sent there steak back as it was not cooked properly. This resturant is known for it's steak. We ordered the steak they recommended and it was okay not great. I have definitely had better. We did order the lump crab cakes and they were good. Service was okay and over priced for what we received.

Our food was above average. We eat lobster and filet. Unfortunately, they need to do something with the wild cats and bug situation outside. An idea maybe a small candle to deter the bugs and something else to deter the cats. Otherwise, I was impressed with the service. The food good but not great. Between two entrees and one alcoholic beverage, we spent $130 for dinner. They did well though by taking off the one entree with numerous bugs that flew in while away to the restroom.

So, visited this restaurant whilst on a months tour of the US (from the UK) - seeing Washington, Charleston, Tennessee, Miami and Bermuda. We have visited many, many restaurants in the US and were looking forward to the much acclaimed Smith and wollensky. We were surprisingly disappointed. Our reception was indifferent (prob weren't famous enough), one of our steaks was fatty and stringy, which is hard to to achieve in the US! One of the saving graces was the lovely waiter that served us. Would defo not go back - overrated - sorry!
