“This is a very good value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2014

First of all, you need to realize this is a small place, fairly pedestrian furnishings and this is not Nobu!!!!

So you should approach this place with your expectations in the right place!!

It is $14 for all you can eat - that doesn't mean you have to eat everything, but it does mean there are some really, really good things!

I would go back again (and it would be a total bargain) simply for the eel and the salmon sashimi. Just those two items alone makes it totally worthwhile for me - fresh, clean delicious.

I was quite pleasantly surprised at the crab legs. Usually on a buffet line they are dried out and overcooked. These were actually quite tasty and the server was very helpful to bring out a set of crackers, which makes the job much easier.

On two visits there were at least four types of sashimi, at least 20 rolls, perhaps 10-12 hot entrees and 5-6 desert selections. Did I love everthing? Heck no.

There are some really good things, the service is just fine and the price is amazing. Why more people don't go there is a mystery to me . . .

“Very poor!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2014

We came here with high expectations because of all the good reviews but ended up very disappointed. It seems to me that the people who wrote these positive reviews considered the modest price as a prime driver for their review since the food is absolutely tasteless. We've been in many all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants around the world but this one is by far the worst we came across. No need to stop here if you're a fan of freshly made, tasteful sushi!

“Great value sushi, grim surroundings!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2014 via mobile

I'd give this place 4* if they only did sushi and I took it as a takeaway. It's worth a visit to stuff yourself with very decent tuna and salmon nigiri and sashimi, and a few of the other rolls.

However, the selection is not nearly as wide as the website makes out. The hot food all looked pretty unappetising, and was generally a bit overcooked and cheap. There were snow crab legs but no implements to eat them with. The presentation wasn't nice, spilt food around on the counters, wasabi in a vat with what looked like a palette knife to serve it with.

The actual premises were really school canteen style, needed a coat of paint and a deep clean - think sticky formica tables with a school canteen ambience. And don't visit the rest room until after you eat or it might put you off the whole thing!

All in all, worth a quick sushi raid for the price but in no way a nice evening out if you're on holiday.

“Nice little place”

The buffet style sushi and Asian food was good and relatively inexpensive. Wait staff attentive and nice. I will go again next time we are in South Beach.

“Great Buffet in South Beach.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2014

We tried this place the last time we were in Miami and was impressed by the food, prices and service. This time around, still great. The people who work here are very nice and welcoming. Nothing to complaint about with the food selection and taste. And their prices are unbeatable. Come hungry and leave satisfied.
