“Very comprehensive Japanese menu”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

Grilled, uncooked, fried, fresh, whatever you want. The restaurant was not very busy on Halloween night, but even with only 8 tables occupied, the food delivery was rather slow...so while we really enjoyed this restaurant and the choices, we will only go back when we are seeking a very leisurely dinner.

As for specifics, the fried shrimp appetizer was OK, the lobster entree was creative but with a cheese and mushroom mixture, there wasn't any lobster to taste. We enjoyed the mushroom salad, the snapper collar and the grilled zucchini.

Interesting valet system...no onsite parking, so you send a text message and your car is retreived in about 10 minutes.

“Deborah at Katsuya”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

If you come to Katsuya, ask for the manager Deborah. On a super busy Friday night, she provided unparalleled service on short notice. Not only did we get a fantastic table for dinner, Deborah went out of her way to personally find us at the neighboring hotel bar, where we were waiting. She also came to check on us throughout dinner and saw us on the way out. Deborah is clearly an asset to Katsuya and the real deal when it comes to restaurant management.

“Katsuya Sushi Dinner”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

Great for a girls night. Reasonably priced, extensive menu, good prices. Beware though, ask for the SLS because everyone in town thinks when you say Katsuya you are talking about some famous Italian restaurant there with a similar name!

“Great experience”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

Made plans to eat here after a show downtown. I had modest expectations but they were overshadowed with great food and attentive service. I thought the atmosphere was a bit bright and cold but is was irrevelent as the food and service was perfect. Go with a small group so you can try a little bit of everything. Hotel SLS is small but nicely done.
