That's the best way to sum it up. The menu is kind of bizarre and - when you're reading it - you can't imagine how any of it could taste good, but it does. In fact, it's delicious!

The dim sum changes all the time, so I don't want to recommend anything because it might not be there when you get there ... except to say anything with the homemade ricotta is out of this world!

On the regular menu, the short rib meatloaf was one of the best things I've ever eaten and I'm at a loss as to how to describe it. The curry sauce was odd but perfect with the jasmine rice.

The ice cream sandwiches on the dessert menu is a bit of a misnomer. These are actually profiteroles with ice cream and homemade chocolate sauce. So, so, so good!

The chefs really know what they're doing with the way they combine flavors and sauces.

I would also try the hot breakfast bar. For $30 (tax and tip included), it's the best Ive ever had. Custom omelettes with goat cheese, the sauteed potatoes with purple potatoes were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The chicken apple sausages were incredible as well. They make belgian waffles that are flat as a pancake and so much better for being crispy and sweet.

The atmosphere is unique. The lighting is very dark and the plates all look like antiques, which is a nice touch.

Oddly enough, the one bad thing was that the salt shakers were all stuck. I couldn't get salt out of any of them. When I finally pulled the top off and got the salt out ... it kind of ruined some of my food. I'm just not used to food being so perfectly seasoned that it doesn't need salt. Especially not potatoes!

We read an article that this was one of the top Miami spice restaurants to visit and since we were staying at the Shelborne we decided to give it a try. My husband and I love the dim sum concept and wanted to see what they did with it. The short rib dumplings and the pork buns were delicious. I ordered the snapper because I wanted a light fare and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious kick of the sauce and chimichurri used. My husband ordered the fried chicken with grits and that did not disappoint. The desserts I could have done without but overall an amazing experience.

We generally steer clear of the hotel restaurant, but this place was a pleasant surprise. We had the dim sum and we weren't not disappointed! Nice atmosphere. Nice staff.
